If you can't see it here, do what I did a few months ago and check it out from your local library.
I have never been a Michael Moore fan, but with my losing my insurance last year due to O'bama, and watching my health, credit, and finances go down hill as a result, I was led to watch his documentary Sicko.
Is THIS what O'bama is trying to give us Americans ? Cause I would have no problem with some of my taxes going to this kind of plan, but already I've found online that there are still some co-payments and some procedures that aren't covered in O'bamaCare. So I don't think this is the same thing, unless I missed something. I do that a lot....
Either way, aren't we as Christians suppose to take care of our brother ? This film opened my eyes. But am I missing something ? It just seems too easy....
I like the part in the documentary where Moore interviews a Canadian doctor, and the doc says that he may not make as much as American doctors, but he is "getting by" with a nice house, nice furniture, 2 cars, good food, and 3 flat screen tvs. I'm paraphrasing as it's been a few months since I've seen it.
I think it also shows a person's heart as to why they would go into the health care field. Is it to help others, or for the amount of money a doctor usually makes ? ;)
Also eye opening was when Moore, in different parts of the film, would ask hospital employees what part of the hospital he would go to in order to settle payment, and was always met with a deer in the headlights look. Priceless.
See, I made a joke there. ^_^
To watch it for free, go to Documentary Storm and type in Sicko.
(Sorry about that, I had to edit the link out cause I noticed afterward that there was some secular documentaries there as well.)
Tell me what you think. What people write in the comments section was interesting as well. Like what Ameicannurse had to say.
Like I said, it just sounds too good to be true. Where's the catch ?
If it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
