Would you feel different about Jesus if he was black?Questions I asked myself;Really we can only guess on the way he looked, but we know he was a Jew with olive skin and hair like wool. So why do most churches have him pictured as a brown haired caucasian ? Who is the mainstream image of Jesus? Where did he come from? Why has christians em brassed him? Would they have done the same thing if he was black? Will white Christians worship anything other then there own race? What is it like to be a black guy worshiping Jesus with the mainstream image of him being caucasian? If the roles where reversed how would you act? So lets see what you come up with......

Would you feel different about Jesus if he was black?NopeQuestions I asked myself;Really we can only guess on the way he looked, but we know he was a Jew with olive skin and hair like wool. So why do most churches have him pictured as a brown haired caucasian ?Well have you ever thought of when someone with thick hair gets up in the morning and they have to defriz the frizies. Its not that important,I believe the pictures to be inaccurate, but what He looked like is irrelevant. Who is the mainstream image of Jesus?Just an image many artists have adopted, but there are clay pots and wall drawings of Him pale and clean shaves with short hair dating from the first and second centuries. Where did he come from?Nazerath, oops wrong answer,God. Why has christians em brassed him?Because they dont listen to Him. Would they have done the same thing if he was black? Most likely Will white Christians worship anything other then there own race?We already do,it is called the All Mighty God,no race or gender in the manner we would understand. What is it like to be a black guy worshiping Jesus with the mainstream image of him being caucasian? Many of them have pictures of black Jesus or Aramaic Jesus. If the roles where reversed how would you act? The same as I do now,on the facts that matter and not on the trivial looks. So lets see what you come up with......
Good one I like it.

Gotta be tradition. Since it isn't Biblical. Just look at the physical description in revelation.I'm convinced God doesn't differentiate based on race. We are the same under our skin. We have the same 4 blood groups. Our body work exactly the same. With the exception of a few genetic diseases that cluster in certain ethnicities, humanity is very similar.

He would undoubtedly look Jewish, and so it wouldn't matter to me what He looked like as long as He can save my sinful soul.

I don't know what Jesus looked like, but regardless of His color, he had to have a certain genealogy. I think the question should have been posed if the people of God thru the lineage of Abraham had been black, it wouldn't have bothered me because I might have been black as well since I am descended from Abraham. And that goes for any other color.Frankly, I think Jesus was pale and ruddy, like King David sort of an Irish type appearance as described in the bible and I'm not elevating that race over another because I am a Pa Dutchman myself.
