It is Well with My Soul, the Song and the Story
Composer Horatio Spafford.

Philip Bliss (1838-1876), composer of many songs including Hold the Fort, Let the Lower Lights be Burning, and Jesus Loves Even Me, was so impressed with Spafford's life and the words of his hymn that he composed a beautiful piece of music to accompany the lyrics. The song was published by Bliss and Sankey, in 1876.

For more than a century, the tragic story of one man has given hope to countless thousands who have lifted their voices to sing, It Is Well With My Soul.

Last November I left Canada and drove 18 hours straight south for a meeting at the Jim Bakker TV Studios in Morningside Missouri .... just south of Branson.

Flopped out in my Condo and slept for 10 hours straight ....... woke up in the morning all bedraggled , unshaven , stumbling around trying to wake up ..... opened my balcony door which is just above the stage and Tammy Sue was rehearsing for the upcoming show and she was singing the most beautiful rendition of "Shenandoah" I have ever heard.

The Statler brothers are not the prettiest men on this planet , nor do they have the glamor and glitz of Hollywood , maybe not even the greatest singers.
