The Greek word Airo is used to describe what Jesus does with sins....
Other verses that use this same word..

[sup]30 [/sup]Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
Jesus has surely come as a thief....to take away the sins that cut us off from fellowship with the Father. Once Jesus has taken away our sins...do we demand them back again??? Of course not. We should not return to our old sins...nor start up new ones. Go and sin no more!!!
Jesus is calling us..not just to follow Him....but to abide in Him. We come out of our old sinful lives in order to live as a holy sacrifice IN Christ so that we abide in the fire of God that burns up all iniquity and contaminations to make us as holy as God is. Our God is a consuming fire!!
