Revelation 1:

6 [Jesus] made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 2:

5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Unlike the OT Levitical priests, we do not offer animal sacrifices.

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Like the OT priests, we are set apart to serve God and praise his holy name. We have direct access to God. We don't need a human intermediary to approach God. Jesus, the man-God, is our intermediary (1 Timothy 2:5).

Jesus is our great high priest (Hebrews 4:14).

All Christians are NT priests.

By Baptism they share in the priesthood of Christ, in his prophetic and royal mission.

This is not to be confused with the hierarichal priesthood, however.

The word "priest" largely refers, technically, to those identified as such under the Law of Moses. However, the concept of a priestly ministry does appear to apply in the NT to Christians. And that's because Christ himself is a new priesthood and a new kind of priest. As such, we are collectively his Body, and help him serve the cause of God our Father.

Believers aren't necessarily priests, but Christians, all Christians, are priests which is beyond simply a believer. Belief + baptism into Christ = salvation, which makes you a Christian.

Mk 16:15-16

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Belief + baptism = salvation, so one that just believes falls short, and is therefore not part of the royal priesthood as the scripture says or infers since its referencing the church.

Not realy a New Priesthood but the True Original in fact ! In Christ Jesus, who is the Alpha and the Omega in fact ! For no one comes to the Father but only through his only bogoten Son !

Before Christ Jesus they were all Seeking God in fact and now we have been Blessed, they who know him and abide in him are worthy of God.

Nathaniel was worthy a Israelite. as was Jacob worthy of the Title Israel ? Servant of God ! Jesus went and took them to Heaven with him.

Just being a Jew does not make one worthy of Israel in fact, as Just being a Christian does not make one worthy of Christ Jesus in fact. for they are not worthy ?
One must be truly born again to be worthy of Christ Jesus in fact ! for one serves Christ Jesus in fact and is not of this world but is of the Kingdom of God !

For this world is as Jesus said, is Full of Delusions and Deceptions ! So you have to come out from them ! and into Christ Jesus.

Reggie, I agree that there is and ever has only been but one way. However, before the Fall there was no need for a priest. So the priests, under the Law, were trusted with offering sacrifices of atonement for Israel so that they could remain in good standing with God until final atonement through Christ had been made.

Now that we've been redeemed, we carry on Christ's ministry by advocating for his atonement so that others may also be redeemed. That is our priesthood, I believe? We are not taking the place of Christ as our High Priest, nor are we separate priests from him. But we are sharing in his priesthood by proclaiming the Gospel so that others can benefit from his exclusive priesthood.

Being of Jewish extraction, ie descended from Israel, does not disqualify one from the Gospel. Rather, Christianity is the heritage of the Jew.

But yes, unless we are Born Again, being Jewish has no standing with respect to obtaining Eternal Life.
