So I'm watching the 1959 Ben-Hur film. Is this guy a fictional character and story, or is he biblical. I do see 1 Kings 4:8 NIV mention Ben-Hur.

He's a fictional character - but his creator was a good writer and did her research, so she was careful to give him an authentic Jewish name.
