I want to talk about a concept my husband has shown me that has greatly impacted my life.

Be results-minded, not effort-minded. You can make efforts all day but if the result is not effective, than the important thing is not the effort but the result.

I could put effort into washing dishes and want to be appreciate that effort. But if I wash them so poorly that my husband has to wash them again, then the result means I should change the way I wash dishes. It is possible to help others in such a poor fashion that you would have done better not to help at all!

Effort-mindedness considers effort good enough no matter how unsuccessful it was. Results-mindedness leads to actual helpfulness and competence so that you can be relied on.

If you obey God as a wife, you will offend other women. Christian women too.

-Speaking well of your husband
-Submitting
-Frequent intimacy
-Serving him food, making his plate
-Not splitting chores
-Being a Titus 2 Keeper at Home
-Being respectful
-Not insisting on your way

These are all things that raise eyebrows and will get you talked negatively about behind your back and to your face.

I don't really mind. I love having a peaceful and affectionate marriage. I love being home and taking care of my husband. Ive found purpose, joy, and happiness in learning to serve others and put my husband's needs first. Others don't have to understand.
