Helen, I do not see where having a cross on your phone would be considered blasphemy.

It's a bit of a case of the wrong sin syndrome here, but it would be considered idolatry should you choose to worship it. I really don't think that's at play here when you glance at it to remind you of the work that Jesus completed as well as where he has obviously brought you from! :)

Not blasphemy.

The King never advocated the cross as a symbol of the New Order.

Only men did this.

i agree with hammerstone on this. there is nothing wrong with putting a cross on the phone as long as you do not worship it. actually by your own words it is a good thing to have it remind you of God. many people wear crosses around their necks and don't even give it a second thought.

God bless

Your friend is wrong. Even if you kiss and worship it. How is it not Jesus you worshipping / honoring / remembering?

A cross symbolic of Jesus can never be idolatry.

If it were blasphemy, does that make my avi blasphemy? I certainly do not see it that way.

I personally do not have a cross in my house and don't want one. It was a Roman form of torture and death, which Jesus had to endure. I have heard of pagan roots in that form of torture and death, but I won't go into it because I am not able to verify it. HOWEVER, Jesus did say to take up your cross daily. Paul said we died with him on that cross, as well. In short, it's not the biggest issue to me, but you should take some time to research it and understand its significance. I have done so, and overall, I don't display it, but I'm not offended by it.

I don't think there is anything wrong about having an image of a cross on your phone, if it reminds you of Jesus, what He has done for you and of His love for you.
