God has a special way of getting man's attention for the good of mankind, so that they begin to look UP in their calamity so as to be saved by calling upon the LORD allowing Him to Be their God and savior as it was intended in the beginning when He created His children.
These shakes, rumbles and winds create an atmosphere of need for Him... and one another so that they forget the petty grievances that plague men's daily idle ways that lead to battling against one another over NOTHING, instead of showing the Love of God, meaning His Word of righteousness that guides us into lives of goodness of heart to keep peaceful ways in the earth and bring abundance to ones life so there is no more struggles, but only God's Rest.

Slowly absorb each of these wonderful Words of God below and apply them to your understanding as TRUTH for they are! And hopefully you will recognize what is going on around us in these last of days and FEAR NOT~

Ps 107:1-108:1
107:1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
36 And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

2 a4, greeting in the name of the Lord Jesus.

you said it in a nutshell, even before you posted the scripture. which are wonderful in themselves.
but fear, yes, "FEAR", brings confusion. and confusion brings unrest. one cannot enter into the Lord's rest confused. unrest leads to contention. hence more confusion. the Lord said come out of BABYLON. Babylon is another word for confusion. and confusion is nothing but the lack of knowledge in the Lord. when fear comes, faith goes. hence, anything done not in faith is sin.

We have some acronym to share with you. if you permit.

101G,
The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, yet it is not a fear as man knows fear in such as how is our bills to be paid or what is going to happen to us, or what shall we eat or what shall we wear or what about our jobs for when we quit struggling with the Word and submit to him, all our needs are met and there is no more HARD LABOR for those who has controlled their flesh and live by the Spirit in the Rest of the Almighty being the Peace of Jerusalem.
The Fear or Reverence of the LORD means that you understand that God is watching your every move to see that you are doing righteous. For now we are hid behind the blood of Christ and to the Father we look like Jesus (The Seed of God)under the blood(embro) because we are growing still in the womb of our mother(heavenly Jerusalem) as babes.. and sons who are conformed into the image of Christ being clothed in the Word(Christ) of God as sons of God. Jesus chastises us to keep us in LINE on the straight path to the kingdom and only those who ABIDE in the Word will make it to the heavenly hope of the promised land.
True those who put their faith in God and not man, nor government, nor self but live by FAITH in the promises in HIS WORD/SON are not walking in fear of these things as the world is right now, they are standing firm on the ROCK who is the firm foundation of the Word to keep them HIGH ABOVE THE CHAOS and darkness that is all around us and is for the wicked who reject to submit to Christ. All of God's promises are yes and amen for those who are not SHAKEN in their shoes in UNBELIEF, but walk by faith (spiritual that they can't yet see) and not by sight(what seems more real in the natural)

God did not give us a spirit of fear as the lost without God have... We must take our God at His Word and STAND THEREFOR!
2 Cor 1:20-22
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
KJV

When we are seeing the mighty works of God going on all around us we must not fear... we are supposed to try and pull as many souls out of the fires of hell & torment that the wrath of God bringing forth, for when our lives are full of torment, we are walking in our flesh and we need to have that flesh that is bondage to sin, burned off and cut away by the two edged sWord of the Word and the spiritual fires that bring us to holiness.
Harvest time is when trials come in disasters, broken families, wayward children due to sinful ways in the earth for judgment and people finally come to their senses and seek God with all their heart, the only time they lay down that pride and soften their hearts to ask God for HIS HELP. Lost souls who are like Cain just wanderers in the earth outside the presence of God living a life of misery and hell is what God seeks, those who, in their own strength can not overcome the evil ones temptations but NOW we have the Spirit glory be to Jesus for his willingness to take on a flesh body and die in our place so that we can be reunified to God being REBORN of the Spirit working in us as the Word is being written upon our hearts to be doers and not just fleshly hearers only. For the law looking at it changes nothing but only proves we are not able in our strength to keep it... but the Spirit our helper does have the power and strength to guide us and deliver us from bondage by keeping all Truth of the Word if we just keep asking to be made perfect.. God is able.

"The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom..."

Not only scripturally true, scientifically true also.
A typical brain has about 200 billion neurons, linked to one another via hundreds of trillions synapses.

When you read the Bible your brain physically changes.

Fear is one of the strongest influences on the brain.
We learn to fear fire at a young age and retain the instant reaction for life.

Think of the Drill Sergeant jumping in someone's face; instant response training through fear.

The fear of the Lord will dramatically impact the storage, retention and response time to the Word of God stored in our brain.
