11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. - Galatians 1:11-12.

What is the revelation of Jesus Christ? the revelation of Jesus Christ is; Christ revealed in you! Paul certified his gospel is 'the revelation of Jesus Christ in you.' Christ revealed in you. Notice there is a revelation of the indwelling Christ for believers, and that revelation - the revelation of Jesus Christ is the gospel.

How do we know that? Paul says in our text that he certified the gospel he preached (his gospel) was not taught to him. You cannot teach the gospel - the gospel is; Christ revealed in and to the believer. Every believer needs a revelation of the Christ that is in them. To understand Paul and what he says about the gospel..it must be revealed to you. There is a revelation in existence for every born again believer.

What is the answer for humanity? first look at scripture and see it is not Christ alone that is the answer for humanity..but it is Christ in you that is the answer for humanity, and that revealed. Without Christ in you, there is no salvation. Salvation is Christ in you only! That salvation revealed to you is the answer in Christianity. That is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He created a world and everything in it..and that world will be the driving force to bring mankind back to Himself. Out of the world the father gets bonified children ..birthed by the father, by the Son in you! The revelation of that is; the certified gospel.

@soul man Reminds me of "Lydia, whose heart the Lord opened" (Acts 16.14). There needs to be nothing less than Divine intervention by His Spirit for someone truly to embrace the truth of the Gospel.

What is the Gospel according to the revelation of Jesus Christ? It can't be any easier -

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (underlining mine)

Paul called it 'my gospel' in multiple places because that is what he was preaching, but he clarified its source in Romans 16 -

Rom 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, (KJV)

It's easy for people to say they believe the Gospel preached by Paul. I used to be one, having grown up in the Episcopal church and later married to a Catholic woman. But what separates true believers from the rest of the world is the heart. Heart belief in the Gospel is where 'the rubber meets the road', so to speak:

Rom 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Note that nowhere does Paul state that good works are a prerequisite for salvation. Neither does he mention baptism as a means to salvation. He makes that very clear:

Eph 2:8-10 (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Our good works are the RESULT of salvation, not a MEANS to obtain salvation.

Thanks for commenting. I think what believers need to see as well is; we are saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and and the finished work of the cross. But what we need to see is there was no in Christ message until Paul is given the gospel to give to the born again - the revelation gospel. The gospel that cannot be taught but must be revealed because Paul's gospel hinges on Christ in believers. I don't think believers can grow without Paul as he says to follow me..there is a reason for Paul saying follow me as I follow the Lord. You follow Paul into understanding of what is complete in Christ and revelation. First you see Paul had a revelation of Jesus Christ, as well as other revelations. Caught up in the third heaven..he didn't even know if he was in body or out of body. He was getting something that only the Holy Spirit can reveal to a believer. It surely won't come through any man. Only thing we can do is preach Christ as Paul preached Christ..and that by revelation. But salvation came by the cross - old man out..new man in the moment you believe. It's like the day of pentecost there was added to the church even though there was no in Christ message until Paul had his revelation of the indwelling Christ. I don't think that is what you were saying, but just a thought on my part. Thanks again enjoyed it.

@soul man Sad that among many professing Christians "the Gospel" has been reduced often to a perfunctory assent...

The body of doctrine surrounding the Gospel is gloriously expounded in the New Testament, with massive, supportive evidence from the Old Testament around faith and deliverance and Divine provision.
