Prayer: Yes LORD, We Thank You Father/Yehovah Elohim/Yeshua Ha Mashiach! you have been our dwelling place in all generations. We worship before your throne, praising you with thanksgiving and serving you with gladness. Your mercy is from everlasting to everlasting upon those that hear you and keep your covenant and remember your commandments to do them. Our Father, grant us that our faith should stand in the power of your Holy Spirit. Teach us good judgement and knowledge according to your word of truth and show us the path in which we should go.
Please guide us and open our eyes to your spiritual truths and cause our ears to take heed of what we hear that more may be given us. We are grateful for the gifts of life and health, and all the wonderful things that you see fit to do for us, and the treasures that you reveal to us out of your law and testimony. Day 36 Iyar 22 May 20 - OMER COUNT - WEEK 6 - Joseph May 20 – May 26, 2025 OMER COUNT - WEEK 6 - Joseph May 20 – May 26, 2025 YESOD – BONDING During the sixth week of counting the Omer, we examine and refine the emotional attribute of Yesod or bonding. Bonding means connecting; not only feeling for another, but being attached to him. Not just a token commitment, but total devotion. It creates a channel between giver and receiver. Bonding is eternal. It develops an everlasting union that lives on forever through the perpetual fruit it bears.
Bonding is the foundation of life. The emotional spine of the human psyche. Every person needs bonding to flourish and grow. The bonding between mother and child; between husband and wife; between brothers and sisters; between close friends. Bonding is affirmation; it gives one the sense of belonging; I am significant and important. It establishes trust -- trust in yourself and trust in others. It instills confidence. Without bonding and nurturing we cannot realize and be ourselves. Day 36 – Iyar Love is the heart of bonding. You cannot bond without love.
Love establishes a reliable base on which bonding can build. If you have a problem bonding, examine how much you love the one (or the experience) with which you wish to bond. Do I try to bond without first fostering a loving attitude? Is my bonding expressed in a loving manner? Exercise for the day: Demonstrate the bond you have with your child or friend through an act of love.
Meaning: The counting symbolizes a period of spiritual preparation, a countdown to the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Shavuot. Process: Each evening, a blessing is recited, and the specific day of the omer is stated, marking the progress of the count. Significance: The omer count is seen as a time for reflection, introspection, and spiritual growth, connecting the Israelites' experience in the wilderness to the Torah's revelation.
The commandment for counting the Omer is recorded within the Torah in Leviticus 23:9-14 When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring the sheaf (omer) of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest.
