The French Huguenots, a vast number of Christians who sought to worship God according to the dictates of their own conscience, enjoyed a happy existence in their homeland of France as the masters of the timepiece industry. That is, until they came under such swift and severe persecution of the Papal Antichrist power in Rome, who forbid the Bible to be possessed, read, taught, or translated, and denied individuals the right to worship in any way except that which was prescribed by the Papacy - a Christian Sharia Law of sorts. The persecution at one point became so severe that many Huguenots were forced to flee across the Alps to Switzerland in the dead of winter to escape. Taking little more with them but scant food, clothing, and possessions, but equipped with the knowledge of their trade, they settled and began a new life of religious freedom and prosperity in Switzerland. Today, a "Swiss" movement is the signature of a premier timepiece, which would today be known as a "French Movement" if not for the fact that prophecy foretold of the "man of sin" who "made war with the saints and prevailed against them."

Thanks for sharing your view, who is that "man of sin"?
The Anttichrist is the:
  • "man of sin"
  • "little horn"
  • "first beast of Revelation 13
...which is the Papacy, according to the Historicist interpretation of eschatology; an idea that first came into being during the Protestant Reformation which began in the early 16th century. This teaching so devastated the Catholic church that a Counter Reformation effort was launched by the Papacy and from that the Society of Jesus, aka the Jesuits, was formed. Two Jesuit priests using preconceived ideas went to the Scriptures to develop alternatives to Historicism:

1) Jesuit Luiz Alcazar came up with the idea that the Antichrist was a 1st century Roman Emperor and that all the prophecies, including the Second Coming, had already taken place; an idea which eventually became known as Preterism.

2) Jesuit Francisco Ribera came up with the idea that the Antichrist was one evil man who would also arise outside the church but at the end of time during the last seven years of tribulation, sit in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, make a peace treaty with the Arabs and Jews, break the treaty and usher in Armageddon (sound familiar?) - this idea is today known as Futurism.

Today, Protestants have forgotten Historicism because they have never endured the horrors of Papal supremacy and the atrocities committed against "heretics" who refused to go along with the Papacy's teachings, which is not found among them even one that is in line with Scripture. They vehemently defend Jesuit Futurism, and some even have embraced Jesuit Preterism, and all condemn Historicism WHICH WAS BELIEVED AND TAUGHT BY ALL PROTESTANTS FOR OVER 300 YEARS until they began to forget history. They will eagerly join with the false Christ, who will give his stamp of approval to the Papacy, in persecuting true Christians who "keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12 KJV) and will eventually hear Jesus say to them, "I never knew you. Depart from Me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:21-23 KJV)

I think the Textus Receptus Greek NT is the most reliable based on scholarship, as well as historical events surrounding Satan's attack on God's Word. A really well presented, comprehensive documentary can be viewed on Youtube called "A Lamp In The Dark: The Untold History Of The Bible". https://youtu.be/6Osuctvq4QU

I don't say that "someone" is the Antichrist and neither does Scripture. What is said by Scripture is that the Antichrist is the "Little Horn" which in the prophecy of Daniel 7 represents a "kingdom", not just one man. It also says that the Antichrist is a "beast" in Revelation 13 which Daniel 7 also says is a "kingdom", which again is not just one man. Why people willfully ignore this, preferring to believe that Antichrist is a singular man who will occupy a seat of deception in the church due to Paul's phrase "man of sin" is beyond me, ESPECIALLY when this same Paul uses the phrase "man of God" in his letter to Timothy to obviously refer to a plurality of Godly men who would occupy positions in the church, as well.
