Interesting. I have to look into that more. It never meant much to me other than the fact that it was a trinity of 6's, i.e. the number of a man (could be both in reference to a historical person as well as symbolic of mankind vs. God the perfect number 7). However, 666 does have some more interesting mathematical properties than 616, such as666=1+2+3+4 ... +36 and needless to say breaking it down to its primes 37 x 2 x 3 X 3 which means it includes in its factoring numbers like 111, 222, and 333.

There are many interesting numbers and looking for them in scripture makes for intersting stories and movies. My interest ends there.

Tallman;55307, Here is a little to think about when groping for an answer to what is mentioned at Rev 13:18, about the number of the Wild beast. The number might well mean IMPERFECTION, because it is also a man's number. When something is mentioned as the 666 is, it means To the Third Degree, or it means Emphasis, Rev 4:8, Isa 6:3, Eze 21:27. This would mean that this Wild Beast would be imperfect, because it is an organization made up by men, and is extremely imperfect because it gets it's throne, power, and authority from The Dragon, which is Satan the Devil, Rev 13:2, 12:7-9.

I revisited this and indeed this could be possible considering one letter misread could change it from 666 to 616. I have an open mind. Here's a Wikipedia article on this number. Another one thrown around was 665. So, we have 666, 665, and 616. Maybe for the time being we could average them?
