All I'm asking is a simple question.

The question has been repeatedly been answered. See post #813.

You are comparing two completely different lives.

And what are you doing?

People have a pretty good idea of how they'll spend their time on this planet

“Pretty good idea” is good enough for you here but not there. That is the hate filled double standard you deny!

An eternal life is a step into the unknown

All life is unknown to a significant degree.

I'm just interested in what Christians are expecting

And this has been repeatedly answered.

You say that you have all the information you need.
What information is that?
See post #813.

Okay, my interest has gone.
There was nothing hate filled about anything that I've asked.
If you want to portray me as a hater then fine.

Your belief gives you no hope, no afterlife, no seeing your loved ones again, there is no desire to keep up with the lost like you
Yeah, and as I've also said numerous times, because my view offers no hope that doesn't mean it's incorrect.

Who are the happier ? Those with hope or those without ?
Your belief gives you no hope, nothing to look forward to except for what you can do while still breathing

That’s true but only shows your religion is a double negative; not only is it wrong, it is foolish, hopeless, etc. You believe there must have been a creator but claim it cares nothing for its Creation and deny the Creator is the Christian God despite the evidence posting many times to you in this very thread.

You’re OK with having a pretty good idea of what life involves on this side of death but that’s not good enough for the next side of life. This, you pretend your faith pivots upon.

Having said all that, I am sorry for the loss of your sister. I can’t recall if you already answered this, but was she a believer?

The level of happiness or comfort a world view gives to you has no relevance in whether it's true.
The thought of death (and remaining dead) is not pleasant, but based on evidence that's what happens.

Conc :-
The only real hope you have is that you don't wake up in eternity facing the One you have rejected while alive

This agnostic atheist wants no further part in this thread. It's not really gone in a good or worthwhile direction.
If any of you would like to have a normal conversation about life in general, I'll be happy to talk to you.
I love gardening, football, playing pool, singing.
I can talk all day about my wonderful wife and kids.

Once you take your last breath you have at absolute best NOTHING to look forward to
All you can do is enjoy now & hope there is no afterlife

You say that you have all the information you need.

mancunian the Bible does not tell us everything, but it tells us enough to have real hope. We will still be ourselves, with a body Eternal life is not floating away as a ghost. Jesus rose with a real body, and we are promised to be like Him.
“Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.” (Luke 24:39)
“It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: it is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.” (1 Corinthians 15:42-43)
“This mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:53)

We will be like Christ “We know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2)

we will have No more pain, sorrow, or death
“God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

We will know God and one another more fully “And they shall see his face.” (Revelation 22:4)
God will live among His people “The tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people.” (Revelation 21:3)
This happens on a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13)
We will shine and reign with Him
“They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament... as the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)
“And they shall reign for ever and ever.” (Revelation 22:5)
We will not become angels
Scripture says we will be like the angels in one way: “They neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” (Matthew 22:30) We remain redeemed human beings, not a different kind of creature.

The Bible is honest about this: “It doth not yet appear what we shall be.” (1 John 3:2) And Paul writes: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)

in short, We will be real people with real, glorified bodies, free from sin, sickness, and death, seeing Christ face to face, fully known and fully loved, living with God forever.

I leave you with this for now: if you are here on this forum it is because God has called you and invited you to be part of his family. If you have any questions just write in a post @LoveYeshua and I will see it and reply.

Blessings.
