SATAN IS NOT AN INITIATOR but an imitator. God has an only begotten Son-the Lord Jesus, so has Satan-"the son of Perdition" (2 Thes.2:3). There is a Holy Trinity,...feel free to object... and there is likewise a Trinity of Evil (Rev 20:10).

Do we read of the "children of God," so also we read of "the children of the wicked one" (Matt 13:38). Does God work in the former both to will and to do of His good pleasure, then we are told that Satan is "the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience" (Eph 2:2).

Is there a "mystery of godliness" (1 Tim 3:16), so also is there a "mystery of iniquity" (2 Thess 2:7). Are we told that God by His angels "seals" His servants in their foreheads (Rev 7:3), so also we learn that Satan by his agents sets a mark in the foreheads of his devotees (Rev 13:16). Are we told that "the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God" (1 Cor 2:10), then Satan also provides his "deep things" (Greek\Rev 2:24).

Did Christ perform miracles, so also can Satan (2 Thess 2:9). Is Christ seated upon a throne, so is Satan (Greek\Rev 2:13). Has Christ a Church, then Satan has his "synagogue" (Rev 2:9). Is Christ the Light of the world, then so is Satan himself "transformed into an angel of light" (2 Cor 11:14). Did Christ appoint "apostles," then Satan has his apostles, too (2 Cor 11:13). And this leads us to consider: "The Gospel of Satan."

Satan is the arch-counterfeiter. The Devil is now busy at work in the same field in which the Lord sowed the good seed. He is seeking to prevent the growth of the wheat by another plant, the tares, which closely resembles the wheat in appearance. In a word, by a process of imitation he is aiming to neutralize the Work of Christ. Therefore, as Christ has a Gospel, Satan has a gospel too; the latter being a clever counterfeit of the former. So closely does the gospel of Satan resemble that which it parodies, multitudes of the unsaved are deceived by it.

It is to this gospel of Satan the apostle refers when he says to the Galatians, "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ" (Gal 1:6,7).

This false gospel was being heralded even in the days of the apostle, and a most awful curse was called down upon those who preached it. The apostle continues, "But though we, or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

Emphasis on the Gospel is its own witness.
Emphasis on whatever one considers a false gospel only decoys from the real!

The available space filled with mans logic makes many words but never enlightens anyone to life.

The Bible is about 2 God's vying for Sovereignty Joe. Jehovah and satan. When satan challenged God for His right to rule, God chose wisely to allow satan to prove his case, as a teacher might to a rebellious student when he hands him the chalk, and say prove your case.

Jesus showed us that satan will be given this dominion until he clearly shows all the kind of god he is, when he brings humans to the point of extinction 2 Cor 4:4; Mat 24:22. At that point Jehovah will send His forces to remove satan and his horde, and the Kingdom will come. Jesus sitting on God's throne will reign for a millennium, and Jehovah will have restored everything back to perfection in that 1000yrs vs the 6000 satan had. Then satan will be released from his prison, and people having lived under satans system as well as Jehovah's, will now choose who they choose as their God. But it is already written, those who choose satan over Jehovah, will be permanently destroyed in the lake of fire. Rev 20:7-10

I really don't see the works gospel being the problem these days. The problem we have to deal with today is so many people think grace means you will be saved when Jesus comes back even if you choose not to live for him in this life because salvation is not by works. They're not being properly taught that living for Jesus is the sign that you are saved and so they don't seek to make their calling and election sure.

Christians don't lift up Satan or give the Father of lies glory.

hence...

John's Gospel describes a special relationship between God the Father and Jesus the Son. It is a mutual intimacy based on Jesus' subjection and equality. Throughout the Gospel Jesus speaks what He hears the Father saying, does what He sees the Father doing. Jesus does not act on His own, but on the will of the Father (i.e., John 5:19,30; 8:28; 12:49; 14:10,24).

This intimate fellowship and servanthood sets the pattern for the relationship between Jesus and His followers. This intimate association was not the absorption of the individual (as in eastern mysticism), but an ethical, moral lifestyle of emulation (cf. John 13:15; 1 Pet. 2:21). Fellowship was

1Pe 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
1. cognitive (the worldview of the gospel as the Word of God)

2. relational (Jesus was God's promised Messiah to be trusted in and leaned on)

3. ethical (His character reproduced in godly believers)

Jesus is the ideal man, the true Israelite, the standard of humanity. He reveals what Adam should have, and could have been (humanly speaking). Jesus is the ultimate "image of God." He restores the fallen divine image in mankind (cf. Gen. 1:26-27) by

1. full, unique, and ultimate revelation of God (cf. John 1:18; 14:7-10; Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:1-2)

Joh 1:18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Notice how often the pronoun "Him" is presented with different prepositions.
1. "in Him," Col_1:16-17; Col_1:19
2. "through Him," Col_1:16; Col_1:20
3. "unto/into Him," Col_1:16; Col_1:20 (notice this same thing in Eph_1:3-14)

2. dying on our behalf (substitutionary atonement, cf. Mark 10:45; 2 Cor. 5:21)

3. providing humans an example to follow (cf. John 13:15; 1 Pet. 2:21; 1 John 1:7)

The term "abiding" (menō) reflects the goal of Christlikeness (cf. Rom. 8:28-30; 2 Cor. 3:18; Gal. 4:19; Eph. 1:4; 4:13; 1 Thess. 3:13; 4:3; 5:23; 2 Thess. 2:13; Titus 2:4; 1 Pet. 1:15), the restoration of the Fall (cf. Genesis 3). This reunion of God and His ultimate creation, mankind, for the purpose of fellowship is the Apostle Paul's "in Christ" and the Apostle John's "abide in Me" (i.e., the main text is John 15).

Notice John's usage:

1. Abiding between the Father and Son

a. the Father in the Son (John 10:38; 14:10,11; 17:21,23)

b. the Son in the Father (John 10:38; 14:10,11; 17:21)

2. Abiding between Deity and the believer

a. the Father in the believer (John 14:20,23; 1 John 3:24; 4:12-13,15)

b. the believer in the Father (John 14:20,23; 17:21; 1 John 2:24,27; 4:13,16)

c. the Son in the believer (John 6:56; 14:20,23; 15:4,5; 17:23)

d. the believer in the Son (John 6:56; 14:20,23; 15:4,5,7; 1 John 2:6,24,27,28)

3. Other abiding elements (positive)

a. the word of God

1) negatively (John 5:38; 8:37; 1 John 1:10; 2 John 9)

2) positively (John 8:31; 15:2; 1 John 2:14,24; 2 John 9)

b. the love of God (John 15:9-10; 17:26; 1 John 3:17; 4:16)

c. the Spirit of God

1) on the Son (John 1:32)

2) in the believer (John 14:17)

d. obedience is abiding (John 14:15-21,23-24; 15:10; Luke 6:46; 1 John 3:24)

e. love is abiding in light (1 John 2:10)

f. doing the will of God is abiding (1 John 2:17)

g. anointing abides (1 John 2:27)

h. truth abides (2 John 2)

i. the Son abides (John 8:35; 12:34)

4. Other abiding elements (negative)

a. the wrath of God abides (John 3:36)

b. abide in darkness (John 12:46)

c. thrown away. . .burned (not abiding, John 15:6)

d. sinning (not abiding, 1 John 3:6)

e. not loving (not abiding, 1 John 3:14)

f. not a murderer (not eternal life abiding, 1 John 3:15)

g. he who does not live abides in death (1 John 3:14)

Scripture is the primary source together with the indwelling Holy Spirit giving illumination.
To the self-righteous..there is nothing wrong in reading and sharing commentaries since there are good ones to be found. Time for self-examination to see IF you are in the faith in the same way I examine myself daily since my eternal destination is at stake here.
