Kimmel read what was put in front of him. His writers are responsible. Unfortunately,his millions of dollar contract precluded him from speaking up if he disagreed with a monologue.

I think because Kimmel was telling lies as the truth...that was the problem for the FCC.
If Kimmel would have worded the joke differently....for example, Kimmel being out of touch with the truth saying the assassin is conservative, when he's obviously a leftist...that would have been funny (Kimmel making fun of himself as being out of touch with reality).

I'm glad those two are off....or Colbert isn't renewed for next season. Kimmel and Colbert get mean spirited which I disliked. So gave up watching them years ago.
Hardly ever watch Jimmy Fallon but once in a blue moon might watch his monologue for five minutes. He doesn't get mean spirited...just light jokes.

Their talking heads just sit there and Lie and Lie and Lie, (according to the current script that appears on their teleprompter), and at the end of the week they get a big fat paycheck, and a LIMO ride back to their "gated communities"..
The real issue, is that they all sleep soundly at night.

You have to be careful with what you say and how you act when you are celebrity or host on a TV show. The "n" word uttered can get your fired. Slapping someone in the face can cost you your career - which Will Smith has realized since then. This comment about Charlie Kirk wasn't just dishonoring Charlie and his family, but to all conservatives. But hey, we are supposed to rejoice when someone attacks us because of our faith in Christ.
I am rejoicing over Colbert and Kimmels loss.

I never watch these guys.
All I saw was the Kimmel remark because of all the hoopla coming out of the Oval Office.
Freedom of opinion is now in danger because the guy in the White House hates freedom of opinion.
