Haven't watched these yet, but the pacifist question is one I keep wrestling with. For me it always circles back to how Jesus handled people who were against Him, not just what He said about swords. Matthew 5:9 says "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Curious which of the three made the strongest case for you?

Matthew 5:9 says "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
NO Justice. No Peace.
KNOW justice. KNOW PEACE.

Scripture tells us over and over again that in coming to God, you don't avoid hard times. Surrender is not the only way to achieve peace.

Regarding Jesus as the model, keep in mind what he'll do upon his return. Frist, smite all his enemies. Finally, kill more people than anyone in history on Judgement Day via the Lake of Fire. The divine solution to the problem of evil is violence.

That's a lesson for us in the here and now. One way to know this is millions of Christians over the centuries fought violently for the right to life, liberty and property with courage, valor and faith. This is our noble Christian heritage. It's only the feminized modern church that pretends cowardice is principled.
