Do some confuse the "Day of the Lord" in 2 Peter 3:10 with Jesus's 2nd coming?

The day do the lord or The Lord’s day …..if you check all the references to it (which you probably have already done) Those phrases throughout both the Old and NT encompass all the prophesied events to come including Jesus’s second coming to the earth Mt. of Olives. However, it does not include the gathering together unto Him (rapture).

My understanding of the "Day of the Lord" is that the world will be burned out of existence to be replaced by a new and better version. That would seemingly rule out a millennium rule. And that's why I wonder if some are confusing the 2nd coming with the day of the Lord.

I would humbly suggest that your theology is somewhat flawed. God's terms for redemption/salvation is very different to the terms that you present. There is no second chance for our redemption that you want to believe in, and are hoping for, after we physically die and take our last breath.
