Do You Find This Strange?

Okay,.. so I am writing about this character that is named David Goliath James (DJ) and it's supposed to be God the Father in human form. The reason why I'm doing this is because I've have dreams, visions, and being able to both hear and feel God communicating with me as weird as it sounds and I have seen Him in human form in my dreams and visions. When I was a little kid, (@JohnDB already knows this btw) I went to a Baptist church and they made God appear to be angry and was just waiting to take His wrath out on you and I was literally scared so much of Him I stopped going to church and I backslid and I didn't want anything to do with Him.







Then a few years ago these kinds of things started happening to me and I found out that everything I originally thought to be about Him was wrong. He doesn't like getting angry, He's actually very kind, calming, loving, soothing, affectionate,.. and very,.. very funny!! So yep God has a sense of humor but I should have figured that from the beginning since I was made in His image so that explains why He can be a great big goofball sometimes.







So yeah I started writing these stories showing God as somebody of all those qualities that I listed because not only do I enjoy doing it, but if I show God as somebody that you just want as your best friend and somebody just to hangout with and have a good old time with maybe other people out there who are scared of Him like I was reading it will say to themselves,.. gee I want Him as my best friend too.






So,.. I'm sort of evangelizing this way. :) Yeah,.. I sort of made up the part about Him loving and singing music,.. (especially rock and roll) but everything else is based on fact from what I've experienced and I wanted to know everybody else's opinions on this. He sings this song in one of my stories because I could see Him singing about the beginning of creation and I love this song and the movie.

Lol let me rephrase this question,.. do you find it blasphemous that I'm making God (the Father) in human form? There's also Jesus involved acting like Jesus and the Holy Spirit is a girl named Hope. (Like DJ says in the story what you don't believe in good old fashioned girl power? ;) ) I also liked the name Hope found it pretty and it sort of goes with what the Holy Spirit is about so I made her a woman. :)

Oh I think I can show God with a sense of humor and still be respectful of Him and yeah it's a bit out of character I admit,.. BUT you're one of those people who I know knows the difference between reality and fiction. If you've seen The Shack (I do believe that's what it's called) they made the Holy Spirit a woman too. God was a female as well in that movie actually.

And actually God might say something about the girl power thing,.. just not about the Holy Spirit,.. and who knows maybe He actually is into rock and roll. Haven't asked Him or personally met Him in Heaven yet.

Well,.. no not professionally but I'll give you a couple of examples of the humorous side of God I capture while Him still staying in character and acting like God. The first example is in the beginning when a character first discovers that David/DJ is God. He goes to curse and God makes animal noises come out of his mouth because do you think that God would let you curse in front of Him? Then He uses a dolphin noise for one of them and says that He got it from SpongeBob and starts singing the theme and that He loves doing that at parties. XDD!!!







The second example is when He's going to save His friends (there's a couple of serious parts that I love that touches on why He calls them His friends) and they're kidnapped and when of the bad guys (not knowing that He's God) tries to go after Him,.. He keeps disappearing and saying "strike one,.. strike two,.. strike three you're out!!" And kicks him in the privates but quickly adds; "remember kids fighting is for self-defense only,.." or "don't try this at home." Since I believe very strongly in the fact that God allows self-defense so it would only make sense that He would do it if He had a human body and was doing it to protect people that He loves dearly. :)







Now here's a couple of serious moments that I absolutely love. At one point one of the characters (when He says that because He's God He can be in Heaven doing His job and with them at the same time in His human body being totally goofy again by dividing Himself into a bunch of DJ clones and introducing Himself to Himself. XD) is confused that God needs friends in which to He replies,.. "what do they teach in churches nowadays? Of course I need friends! Everybody needs friends! Why do you think I created you guys in the first place?" and when they question Him why He replies with the fact that He got lonely which I find really sweet. :)







The second serious part is when the main female character is questioning herself since she wants to be a singer and she wishes she has the kind of power to overcome her stage fright and that's when God tells her,.. "you have all of the power in the universe right inside of you. You just have to trust it, because if you do you can move mountains. You just have to believe in yourself like you believe in me,.. and like I believe in you." :)

Yeah I know and I highly doubt that He would appear to us in the way that I'm writing about Him,.. but like I said it's my own little way of getting people to see that God's their friend and since I was created in His image why wouldn't He be a goofball at times? There's also going to be a sequel since He's staying in human form as well as being God where He's eating chocolate and He says; "this is a twist,.. my children are usually thanking me for the things I'm giving them and now I'm thanking them,.. hark the herald angels sing!!" XDD!! Or when He's making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I could totally see this happening since I do it all the time. (Oh yeah and He's immortal He just eats for pleasure in human form) Being silly sure isn't a sin. ;)

Hey there Heart2Soul. Apparently there is a bush in the desert of that region that produces an oily resin which covers its leaves and ignites under intense sunlight and heat. If Moses had not seen this happen before it would definitely attract his attention, which is what God needed to do.

I think I am starting to find this strange too, especially the Spongebob part.

So when is the book being published and released?!

Well right now it's only a fanfiction but I can't believe how many people who are interested right now like what!? Another part that I love is when DJ is fighting off the bad guys and they ask him who he is and he responds by saying,.. "if you're for me I'm your best friend,.. but if you're against me,.. I'm your worst nightmare!" since that's so true lol!! I am also stressing to my readers how much God actually loves them and wants a relationship with them. :)
