Do You have Wealth and Riches in Your House?? Do you try to shame those believers that do have wealth and riches?
Psalm 112:3 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
10 0 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

The shame should come from SEEKING and EXPECTING these material things. I myself would MUCH rather be blessed spiritually.
The "upright" man NEVER seeks these things and that is why God will bless this way for that kind of follower. Solomon never asked for riches at all, he asked for something worth FAR more than nice "things"...wisdom. Since he did NOT ask or EXPECT riches, material niceties, luxury...you know, the things that the world seeks...God blessed him with riches anyhow as, they never came before spiritual riches.
What would you do if God came down and told you to "sell all you have, give it to the poor and follow me"? Jesus didn't even have a place to lay His head.
Be CONTENT with what you already have and seek HIM FIRST. Personally, I am pretty set financially, I DID work for many decades...it's the SPIRITUAL blessings I crave and seem to miss much of so, that is how we seek His Kingdom FIRST.....then all the rest will follow. Stop seeking things that will rust and rot.

"...Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee... " Acts 3:6

That's me!

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matt 19:23

My friend, my wife and I live in a rented apartment and my retirement covers our basic needs. Of material things there is nothing else we want... and certainly nothing that we need of the things of carnal men.

When our wants are equal to what God says that we need, are we not therewith to be content?

"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need." Phil 4:11-12

Good to be happy with what you have but why not believe for what God says you should have ==Psalm 112:3 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Good to be happy with what you have but why not believe for what God says you should have
"Should have...? What is it that we should have? What is it that we deserve or what is it that we have earned more than the death into which our mothers gave birth to us?

Have we done better than the natural children of Israel here?

"And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;" Ezra 9:13

"What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;" Rom 3:9

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Rom 3:9-10

Who should even have the opportunity to receive God's blessings? Who is worthy?

Instead of asking for material things we believe will make us physically comfortable or happy, should we not be praying as Jesus prayed?

"...nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39

I live in my own modest house and have never craved riches. As long as we have enough to live on and some to share we have plenty. If we needed a car, helicopter or yacht for God's work then I am confident that he would provide. Otherwise we are content with what we have. More than some but less than others.

Even so, Sister! When I was a whole lot younger in the flesh and in the Lord, I yearned for a lot of things including, of course, more money. As I grew in the things of God the importance of material things diminished. If we are faithful to God, He will supply our needs. To ask for more is, I believe, foolishness.

If we are always with God, what is it that we will be lacking? Is this world of men and all of its material 'riches' to be our home or our point of focus?
What happens when there is no more time? Where are our eyes looking?
Where does God want our eyes to be looking?

"When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek." Psalm 27:8

And Jesus said to seek what and what is to be added and what should we care about any tomorrows?

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matt 6:33-34

Is this really talking about earthly riches or the other?

Matthew 6:19-21

King James Version

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

LOL!! Who really thinks God does not know about wealth and riches Don't you know God paves His streets with pure Gold?? Do some reading about the wealth of heaven. God shares some of His wealth and riches with "believers" that fears (respects) the Lord and greatly delights in His commandments.===Do you??
