Do You Pray With A Tallit?

I'm a Gentile but I pray wearing a tallit. I was curious if there were any other Christians on here that pray with a tallit?

No I do not use a prayer shawl and I am Hebrew, not Jewish but Hebrew.

I'm really confused. Forgive my ignorance but I thought that Abraham was also Hebrew and thus the father of the Jews. Isn't to be a Jew equivalent to be a Hebrew? What's the difference?

The word Jew means someone from the tribe of Judah or a resident of Judea. Judah is only one of the tribes of Israel (Hebrew); there are twelve tribes (actually there are thirteen since Joseph received a double portion). I have some of Judah in my ancestry but the larger portion is from one of the other tribes that went north around 600 BC.

No I don't use a tallit. I just pray to God dressed like normally.

lol Prayer shawl. A Christian friend of mine who I attend church with had been praying with it for years and he told me that God wanted him to give it o me as a gift for me to pray with. So I have fro some time. It looks pretty cool. And i was touched that he would give it to me as a gift.

Wow you're able to trace your ancestry that far back? That's pretty cool. I can only go back a few generations of Robsters.
