I have noticed that many, if not most, Christians believe Ezekiel's Temple will be built in the future. This is not true according to the Word of God:
As we can clearly see in the above verse, Ezekiel's Temple was a conditional promise. In other words, if the Israelites were ashamed, and repented and put away their whoredoms, God would reward them by dwelling with them.
Here again we see this conditional promise:
This is the 'fine print' everyone ignores. As we all know, the Israelites did not do what God asked and so the plans for Ezekiel's Temple were scrapped forever.
Of course, if we did a basic comparison between Ezekiel's Temple and the one described in Revelation, we can clearly see they are very different. That does not stop folks from arguing that they are the same thing unfortunately. Some basic common sense is needed here.
The bottom line is that the temple described in Ezekiel was designed for the Old Testament, i.e., the old Biblical covenant/contract. What most do not understand is that Ezekiel's Temple was intended to be the final path to Salvation without Jesus having to be crucified. It was a 'last chance' effort.
Ezekiel 43:11 - "And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them."

Here again we see this conditional promise:
Ezekiel 43:9 - "Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever."
