And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. - John 17:11.
Jesus one in nature with His Father!
So what is it that we see in scripture about the Father's nature that is in you by Christ? In 'thine own name' is the nature of the Father. What is it about a Christian that God can rely on, or depend on? His nature! We should take a long look at scripture if the believer feels God is depending on them to do a certain thing. God trusts his nature in us to work out of us. To come to the forefront if you will. If he was going to rely on the life and nature of humanity He would not have crucified His only Son. So what it means to be a Father is to trust your own nature..the seed in you.
Religion is funny - they can preach all we are by the cross and what Jesus did and who he is - and then they tell you go out and live it, straighten up. It is complete they say but you must do something to make it work. Funny folks! I say if you could have done something - God would not have killed his son. We love the Old Testament but don't believe it - men in themselves cannot give God what he wants, but we kill ourselves trying to do something and please God. Read the OT if you are still felling good about yourself.
-- In the nature of God; you see God is a father. The fatherhood of God is seen in Jesus Christ, the Son of God born into the world. We did not know God was a father until we witnessed He had a Son. He has always been father but he could not be a father to anyone in the Old Testament because He had no birthed (born again) children in the Old Testament to be father to. So we never get to see God as father until Jesus is born into the world. In the Old Testament we see exactly how God see's sin. In the New Testament we see exactly how he would destroy that sin. Crucifying the nature - sin was destroyed once and for all.
-- In the nature of God is; The fruit of the Spirit. The nature of God in you is the fruit of the Spirit. This is the life that is in every believer. The fruit of the Spirit is an attribute of who Jesus Christ is in you. The character and personality of Christ in you is; the fruit of the Spirit. Who He is!
Such as; he is your peace, your joy. your hope, he does not give you peace - he is all of these things to you.
In the nature of God is; the rest. The rest is the person of Christ in you the hope of glory!
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. - Romans 8:14-15.
It is by the Spirit confirmation; a birth has taken place. You are who you are by a birth - and in that birth a son was born. Just like Jesus was a Son, or was the Son of God. The Holy Spirit confirms to the believers "they are son's by a birth." It is in the nature of the Father for his children to know him as Father. He is a good Father, what is meant by that? He knows how to be a father to you. All your temptation, all the worse you can do, falling short of his glory (plan and purpose for you), he still knows how to be father to you. The rest is "Christ in you," by a birthing - and by that birthing is the rest. You do not work up the rest! You see you are who you are by that new birth, the nature of the father in you. Father nature.
It is in the Father's nature - that is what you see in growing maturing saint's. You see more and more of the father's nature (Christ in you) expressed. You grow in the grace and knowledge of the father's nature in you. After all that is Christian expression. Expressing who they are (they are who they are - by a nature, a birth). This is not something you work on and get better at - it is who you are! You learn who you are. That sounds like a cliche we have heard it so many times, believers can know the nature of the father - by Christ in them.
