18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. - Romans 8:18.
I have one final word on the intent and purpose of God for creation. The final word is; it ties you with Christ in you..to the world and all of it's trouble. I would like to tell you that you can get enough faith and the world would not be a problem to you, and if you loved God so much - you would never have another heart break, or the circumstances and situations would not be trials to you. But that claim would be a lie!
First: it would separate you from what Peter said when he said 'you will suffer.'
Second: it would separate you from what is the drawing power of God in the world to himself. You ever listen to faith preachers..not to pick on them because most feel like they have discovered something in scripture and run with it. But if you listen to them and listen to scripture - the one contradicts the other. Contradicting the drawing power of God in the world.. you do not want to separate people from what will help them the most in what God is doing in their life. You want to talk about it..even if we dont believe it. I want to believe my trouble is over but that contradicts my life and what scripture says is going on in my life.
I can remember sister Susie (fictious name) telling me at the altar; everything is going to be alright now your a Christian and your trouble is over. I think I understand what they were telling me ..they knew me somewhat and knew my trouble in the world and were glad for me that it was over in their opinion. That may have happened to you..well meaning and happy for you but did not really start me off on a good footing because it was not alright as I supposed it would be. After all a Christians life was supposed to be a life of cruising through this world now with no trouble - I thought.
In your growth you begin to understand the opposite. He is all you have in your suffering..when you hurt the most he is there and you realize he works through that suffering for a greater good if you will..in the deepest darkest hour of suffering and loneliness..he is the only one that care's about you. No amount of faith can teach that.. you must suffer that to know that in this world you can overcome as Jesus said. It will not be by anything you do..the best teacher there is is patience to go through whatever situation your in - you will learn. You cannot buy it, you cannot sell it..it is something you learn, it gwts fixed in you by the Spirit. It is all him and him only that can bring it all together. All my doing and pleading and pledging and trying to pay my way out is a failing of the intent and purpose of God in the creation of the world. The world can work for you as an instructor in the things of God.. because in the world you will suffer!
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: - 1 Peter 2:21.
13 but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. - 1 Peter 4:13.
