Are you getting enough electrolytes?

I'd love to have a place I could walk, but I do have a yard to mow and animals to take care of. Eventually, I may get a walking pad (treadmill). But that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. My push mower and moving chickens will have to be my workout. lol
We have these LMNT electrolyte powders. They come in nice flavors. My favorite is grapefruit.

I bought some about a year and a half ago and it was so salty that I didn't even use the whole box. And then I misplaced it. But I'd like to try it again. I apparently already have enough magnesium bc anytime I supplement any significant amount, I end up in the bathroom. lol

Maybe I'll tey it again ...plain, and add it into my seasonings. Just a thought.

From the time I was a little girl, I always wanted floor length hair. You'd think I wouldn't get in as many situations where my hair has been butchered as I have.

Still Im thankful I have the shoulder length hair that I have now. I won't wait til it gets super long to enjoy it!

My high protein low carb meals made a difference in the scale yesterday. Today I will be working on hitting my calorie target. My first meal was 11am because Im intermittent fasting. However, I don't know if this is the method for me right now because I need the energy in the morning.

I got this little book about infused waters. I'm trying REALLY hard to work on my hydration. Years and years ago, I had been hospitalized and hooked up to an IV more than once from not drinking water. I'm still bad at it and I really want to let go of this energy drink addiction.

Today I'm doing a grapefruit infused water and just a little pink salt under the tongue. I'll let you guys know if it was good or not.

It's super cheap. I had a grapefruit and avocado toast for breakfast and just saved a slice for water all day.

Years ago, when I cut out sugary drinks, I pretended I was on a deserted island. So, water to survive. (Sorry for the big letters)

I am super nervous. Im trying not to weigh daily but since my next weigh in is Monday, Im anxious to know if my efforts have been making a difference.
The whole point was to focus on consistent actions and Ive recorded a lot of good effort in my notes.

Im strength training, walking, intermittent fasting, and tracking calories. I guess I just fear Im still at 195 or above.

Last Monday I weighed in at 199.2. The suspense is awful but Im trying to remind myself that its not all about the scale. I feel healthy, clothes are fitting looser, and Ive been consistently doing good things. That matters a lot.

If you've had a lot going on in your body that needs healing, your body is probably busy cleaning things up, and getting to a stable place (out of survival mode), healing, building muscle, etc, before it will let go of too much weight.

@Wynona I'm kinda in the same place as you. I started carnivore 2 years ago last June. I initially lost about 18lbs and haven't lost more than about 7lbs since then. But my body has suffered so much trauma, and I still live under threat, stress, etc. My body is in survival mode as well.

BUT .... I'm grateful that my skin and hair are healthier, and many things have improved. I was in constant pain, often having to use crutches to get around due to hips coming out of socket. My ribs were popping out of place every week ... shoulders out every other week. I was dealing with costochondritis, Tietze Syndrome, and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome that affected spine, neck, shoulders, ribs, nerves (pinched, nerve pain, etc), headaches .....all trauma-injury related. I could go on and on. But pain has reduced probably 90%. My balance and muscle tone are improved greatly as well.

All around, those are wins! :)

I would like to lose about 25 more lbs... ish. That will get me to a normal weight.

Non scale wins, Im very slowly realizing, are just as important.

Carnivore and keto principles still bless me. We did about three months carnivore and 4 and a half months keto. I lost 21 pounds but have plateaud at 195. Im 5'8 so 160 would put me at normal weight. That is my goal.

I would say my body is recovering from pregnancy and some other hormonal shifts. I need to be patient.

I went from 199.2 to 197.5! Almost two pounds lost is great!

Im glad I am weighing weekly. Ive noticed so many other benefits from exercise this way. And Im learning to love it.

I couldn't keep up with a 15 minute dance workout a couple months ago. Now I can keep up with the instructor!

I was always thin ...even very thin at times (from childhood). But a lifetime of trauma and pain led to times (especially over the last 15 years) of being immobile and limited in my ability to do a lot of physical activity. Those are improving somewhat now.

I am working on eating smaller portions.

I definitely had setbacks with this in the past but they say you need to give yourself a month to get used to eating smaller portions than you're used to. With that in mind, things seem more doable.

If I can get used to smaller portions, I believe I can achieve losing 35 pounds.

I also started pushing both babies in the double stroller for my walk. I added ankle weights for added intensity. This is a very intensive workout that I feel the next day.

By not weighing every day, Ive increased my consistency in actions. When I had a bad weight result, I tended to not work as hard out of discouragement.

I actually dont recommend restricting portions when intermittent fasting. That was a mistake.

Weight last week 197.5
Weight this week 197.9

Im not too worried. Its hard to lose weight the week of your cycle. Consistency is key.

Since mid April, I've only used shampoo and no other hair products. I wash my hair every 1-3 days. This seems to agree with me since my hair seems to finally be visibly growing again and has a nice sheen to it.

Im trying with the idea of a very light hair serum or mist to keep the curls in place during humid days but Im still debating it. My husband really likes my hair to feel like products at all.
