Your argument is based on biblical misinterpretation, slander and insults while being unable to answer fundamental questions such as this.

Flat earth theory says that all the stars rotate counter clockwise around the north star, Polaris. But this is false. While it's true in the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere the stars rotate clockwise around the sigma octantis star.
This is in line with a rotating globe earth.

But how is this possible on flat earth???

Also there's a difference between literal and metaphorical. Like when it says the corners of the earth, flat earth map isn't square, it's still round
According to the Acts of the apostles, chapter 10, Peter had a vision of a vessel ("a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners") full of animals being lowered from heaven (v. 11). A voice from heaven told Peter to kill and eat, but since the vessel (or sheet) contained unclean animals, Peter declined. The command was repeated two more times, along with the voice saying, "What God hath made clean, that call not thou common" (v. 15) and then the vessel was taken back to heaven (v. 16). At this point in the narrative, messengers sent from Cornelius the Centurion arrive and urge Peter to go with them. He does so, and mentions the vision as he speaks to Cornelius, saying "God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean" (Acts 10:28). Peter related the vision again in Acts 11:4-9.

Regarding food from the passage here in the book of Acts, even the godless people of Wikipedia recognize that the obvious purpose of this vision was to speak of mankind and not of dietary restrictions. The “great sheet” mentioned in the passage was the closest pure idea that God could use to get through to Peter that all men were valid and worthy of the shed blood of Christ Jesus.

What is very important to notice is that we do not see any floating animals outside the sheet. Let’s look again... How many floating animals
were there outside the sheet? None. Or rather, were there many sheets? No. All sentient men were represented on only one sheet, representing only one land. All sentient, intelligent, cognitive animalkind is on earth, and only earth. Isaiah spells this prophesy out: 'He will hoist a banner for the Goyim, assemble the dispersed of Isra’el, and gather the scattered of Y’hudah from the four corners of the earth.'
It is a prophecy that is prevalent through the entirety of the Holy Bible. God will restore the lost tribes. This was Jesus’ purpose for coming to die and be resurrected, to remarry them whom he had divorced. Paul calls this a mystery. Ezekiel’s vision concurs:

“Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds,
O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live." Jesus spells it out in Matthew 24:31 and again in Mark 13:27: “And he will send his
angels with a trumpet of great voice, and they shall gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” But I digress
from Biblical cosmology to delve into eschatology to speak of this. The two are related, and to show correlation, only behooves us to become
better students of the Word, does it not?

Something that I find most interesting is that the angels who are in charge of the four corners of the earth have vast power and varied job
descriptions. Zechariah was allowed to see them: “And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of heaven, which
go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.” Peter and Zechariah and also John saw these same four great angels. John writes:
“And, after these things, I saw four angels, standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind might not blow upon the earth, nor upon the sea, nor on any tree.” However, Ezekiel did not see them as the chiefs of the corners and winds, but he
did see their effects (just as in Ezekiel 37:9): In Ezekiel 7:2 God tells him: “And thou, son of man, the Lord God of the land of Israel saith
these things, The end cometh, the end cometh, on [the] four coasts of the land. (And thou, son of man, the Lord God saith these things to the land of Israel, The end cometh, the end cometh, on all four sides of the land.).” Daniel saw this as well. Daniel spake and said, "I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the sea. The apocalypse of John describes in chapter twenty, the first resurrection and what happens after it. Something that pertains to this is verses 8,9 where we see something interesting after Satan is released: 'and [Satan] will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.' The nations come from the four corners of the earth onto the broad plain of the earth. This sounds more like the game of Risk than a desk globe found at a furnishings store. I submit that hidden within the revelation of our dear friend, John, lies a deep mystery of an earth unlike what we find from our governmental agencies today. And we all know that in the game of “God vs. The Nations”, God laughs and mocks them, for he knows the outcome before the game begins.

To leave this complete about the shape of our circular, four-squared earth, we must acknowledge and remember Isaiah 55:8-9: 'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.'

Bible never says the earth is flat.
You've failed to show me where it says that.
Please stop using Gods name in vain.
Wow, talk about a crazy accusation. I will find it. I didn't note where it was. I only recently came across it. Stop panicking. I actually value the truth ....unlike some folks.

Explain yourself. Where is the "misinterpretation"?

Show me exactly where you think it says the earth is flat. Maybe you think that firmament means flat. I don't think it does

brother Pauly

Why did you write brother Pauly at the end?
Is that your name?

@TLHKAJ @doctrox

Can you please answer this question.

How is it possible, on the flat earth map, that the northern hemisphere stars spin counter clockwise and the southern hemisphere stars spin clockwise?

I was a flat earther and this was one of the main reasons why I ended up rejecting it. I watched the night sky for months and tracked the movement of the southern cross.

A good friend of mine believes the earth is flat and he admits he doesn't have the answer to this question. Do you have an answer to it?

When and if I get the answer, I'll share it. But I choose to believe God. Whatever the answer, it will align with scripture. If it doesn't align with scripture, brother .... you're being lied to.

There's only one verse that I know of that mentions the phrase "flat earth." But everyone harps on that one aspect. What do you do with all the scriptures that go against the "spinning ball hurling through space in a galaxy that is also hurling through space"?
Which verse even mentions both "flat" and "earth?" I remember somebody once claiming that it was, and quoting Tyndale's translation (sometimes known as "Matthew's Bible) of 2 Samuel 11:11:

"And Vrias sayd vnto Dauid: the arck and Israel & Iuda dwell in pauilions: & my Lord Ioab and the seruauntes of my Lorde lye in tentes vpon the flat earthe:" (my emphasis)

"There we are," she said, "a Bible verse which mention the flat earth!" But that is nonsense! The verse doesn't mean, "The servants of my lord lie in tents upon the planet earth, which is flat." Where else would they have their tents? In the air? On the moon? The word Tyndale translated as "earth" means "ground" or "land." That makes much more sense. The best place to pitch tents is on flat ground.

I have tried looking for verses that contain both the word "flat" and "earth" in 10 English translations of the Bible, with no results at all.

And yet, it does use both words together. How can the earth be flat ...or what even IS flat if the earth is a ball?? You have no basis for flatness on a ball.

I'm not being lied to, I'm using my own observations and rationale.
Consider the possibility that you are mistaken. No scripture says the earth is flat.
Google's says.

So please stop saying you choose to believe God because he has nothing to do with this, the bible does not say the earth is flat. Stop using Gods name wrongly to try and justify your world view. Stop using His name in vain. God doesn't not teach flat earth

I answered all your questions.
How about you answer my question now.

How is it possible, on the flat earth map, that the northern hemisphere stars spin counter clockwise and the southern hemisphere stars spin clockwise?

You've seen it quoted above and still want to explain it away. There is no flatness on a ball.

Where. You've shown me no verses that tell us the earth is flat. Job 38, I read it, nothing about flat earth there. Google is right about this, the bible does not teach flat earth

Choose to believe God, and ask Him. He wilk answer. And you won't have to use your carnal mind to figure or rationalize it.

See, unable to answer the question.
Flat earth refuted.
You cannot answer the question because it's not possible on a flat earth.
See how easy I've debunked the flat earth theory with one question, one observation.

Screenshot_20260411-163126_YouTube.jpg

I'm actually the one choosing God.
Not you.
Gods work makes sense.
Flat earth makes no sense.
Flat earth refuted.
End of story.

Nonsense! The earth is so large that a camp site curves so little as to be counted as flat. That is why the horizon is miles away. A piece of ground can be flat on a spherical earth. Tyndale's is the only translation I know of that translates the Hebrew words in that verse as "flat earth."

I can't refuse to believe God. What in the world is wrong with you?! I looked at previous posts and saw that you "liked" the oost where the verse was mentioned and yes, it does use the phrase "flat earth." And no, a ball is not flat in any spot.

I had a look at 2 Samuel 11:11 and it doesn't say flat earth in any popular translations NIV, KJV, ERV, ESV. His talking about one specific translation, Tyndale's, which I can't find on bible getaway and it's very clear that it's not teaching us that the earth is flat. David Lamb explained this very well. Here is the verse in question

2 Samuel 11:11 NIV
11 Uriah said to David, “The ark and Israel and Judah are staying in tents, and my commander Joab and my lord’s men are camped in the open country. How could I go to my house to eat and drink and make love to my wife? As surely as you live, I will not do such a thing!”

So yea, I believe what God shows me.
And his showing me the earth is not flat in the bible and His showing me the earth is not flat by looking at the stars.

Here is another question for you and @doctrox . Its another reason why i moved from flat earth to globe earth. Answer this.

I'm in Australia facing due south looking at the southern cross stars. Meanwhile in South America or South Africa someone else is facing due south looking at the southern cross at the same time I am...

I've pretty much exhausted my patience with some of you, and I will mostly refrain myself to only posting content relevant to the subject of the OP. I have A LOT on my plate and need to focus on things that are truthful and spiritually profitable.

To any of you doubters of God's Word who have unanswered questions, I would advise you to seek God rather then be contentious against what His Word says. We all have areas where we struggle to believe God and we have to work out our own salvation before God with fear and trembling. Submit those areas to God ... trust Him, and wait. He will answer when and how He sees fit. Strife is not the answer. Focus on Christ and hold on to the truth with all your strength.
