I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20.
When Christ died, you died because you were in him - all in Adam were in Christ and crucified, when he gave his final breath - you (Adam) died. Adam and the nature he had received in the Garden of Eden - was put out by the death of Jesus Christ on the cursed tree. "Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree."
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: - Galatians 3:13.
That tree was the end of Adam and Satan reign over Adam by nature - Adam was crucified in Christ. "this day I set before you - life and death. Choose life" that you might live.
15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; - Deuteronomy 30:15.
Now what needs to be pointed out is; when Christ died - he died as you, Adam. Jesus Christ became sin (Adam contained the man of sin - so it was Adam's death which is who you were in). So we phase it his death is your death or his death is as you (Adam). Can you see that - the whole of the foundation of Jesus Christ (which Paul laid) is to be built on - his death is your death.
When Jesus died he killed the Adamite nature and now the world needs to believe because all are crucified in Christ and the moment you believe - you are put in Christ where Adam is crucified in Christ.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20.
So the question comes up? Why do people still sin. For a believer it comes from mind. For the world or unregenerate non-believers! Because they are not in Christ. To rid a person of sin (the nature) you must be born again "in Christ."
