What I said was simple enough. I wasn’t telling you you had to learn Hebrew (although I think it WOULD help). I was telling you that the text of Daniel 9:27 doesn’t support the “Antichrist” theory. Thus, HE is not the One who strengthens the covenant; HE is not the One who caused the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; HE is not the One who made the city desolate “for the overspreading of abominations!"

Yeshua` (Jesus) is the One who strengthened the Davidic Covenant by simply BEING the Son of God! (Psalm 89:18-28)
Yeshua` (Jesus) is the One who caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease by being the ONE Sacrifice, ONCE FOR ALL! (Heb. 10:1-22)
Yeshua` (Jesus) is the One who left the city DESOLATE because of their CONSTANT REJECTION! (Matt. 23:38)

Therefore, this verse, Daniel 9:27, has NOTHING to do with the “Antichrist!"

Well Jesus himself was the one that said that the prophet Daniel was actually referring to HE the Antichrist that does all of these things including the abomination of desolation in the holy place pal. And when this occurs, he tells the Jews to flee to the hills, which is exactly what happens in Revelation 12. This is "the ruler to come" that will be the fulfillment of the final 70th week Daniel describes. Contrary to your private interpretation, NONE of this has occurred, and not according to me, but according to Jesus himself. If I am to believe you, then I will have to call Jesus a liar.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:" -Matthew 24: 14-17

Tell me this: Why in this day and age, with all of our technology and warfare devices, would Yeshua` instruct His students to “flee to the mountains?"
Why would He tell them not to come down from their rooftops?
Why would He instruct them NOT to take anything with them out of their houses?

None of this makes sense today!

ON THE OTHER HAND, it DID make sense to do such things in the first century!

Old Jerusalem - the Old City - was (and still is) a walled city and the buildings within the walls were tightly packed together. One could easily jump from rooftop to rooftop until one arrived at the wall of the city. It was then possible to go over the wall and escape from turmoil within the city. It was called the Road of the Rooftops, and Yeshua` was instructing them to take it when the pressure began.

Fleeing to the mountains was a viable means of escape from the Roman army. Not only were the Romans limited by the vehicles they drove, but they were battle-hardened brutes who were used to carrying large, heavy equipment, arms, and shields. A person unfettered by a lot to carry could indeed outrun them, and there were lots of caves in the hills and mountains of Israel in which they could hide and take refuge. Also, being indigenous to the area, they knew the various hiding places much better than the foreign army knew about them.

Today, Jerusalem is all sprawled out reaching far outside the walls of the Old City. The Road of the Rooftops is insufficient to escape an attack on Jerusalem.

With today’s warfare techniques and equipment, attempting to hide in the mountains of Israel might not be so advantageous. Furthermore, today, the “mountains of Israel” are collectively called the “West Bank.” That might not be so strategic a move for an Israeli! Besides, who can outrun a bullet?

Also, who but a practicing Israeli would even CARE about trying to escape on a Shabbat (a Sabbath)?! For any Gentile, one day is as good as another to preserve his life!

No, this all makes better sense in the first century than it does today.

Furthermore, we don’t HERALD (PREACH) the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM these days!

So according to your preconceived notions of what you believe is possible, since you are apparently claiming that this can only happen 2,000 years ago, then the end of days have already occurred and Jesus Christs return should be right around the corner. At any moment, the stars will fall from heaven, the sun will darkened, the moon will turn blood red, accompanied with a massive earthquake. Your preconceived notions of what is possible doesn't trump prophecy.

No. Don’t put words in my mouth, please. What I am saying is that Yeshua` was talking to Jews in the state of Israel during the first century. It would only be natural that He FIRST warn them of the impending disaster that was a mere 40 years away, before going into events that wouldn’t occur for another 2,000 years (or more)!

HOWEVER, Yeshua` frequently changed the viewpoint on timing as He spoke, allowing Himself to “drift” off into the future, so to speak. When the Greek verbs end in a “-te” or a “-the,” He was speaking DIRECTLY to His disciples. When the pronouns are “humeis,” “humoon” (“oo” representing omega), “humin,” or “humas,” He was speaking DIRECTLY to His disciples (2nd person plural). However, occasionally the pronouns changed to third person or disappeared altogether as His vision went off into the distant future.

The following is an excerpt from a study I did a while back that compares the three accounts on the Olivet Discourse in the Greek first before translation into English. There’s a reason why harmonies of the Gospels worked (somewhat). These accounts were closer than most realize. However, I learned that such harmonizing must be done in the Greek first BEFORE translation into English. Since most harmonies harmonize AFTER translation, they all had some problem or other.

In the following, there are three triplets, an English translation, and an order number on each line. The first triplet is the verse number in each of the three Gospel accounts of the Olivet Discourse: Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. The second triplet is the word number within each verse of the same. The third triplet is the Greek word recorded at that position. If you see a “00” or a “0” in any of these positions, it means that that particular Gospel account didn’t have that Greek word recorded. This excerpt covers Matthew 24:4-31, Mark 13:5-27, and Luke 21:8-27.

The only other thing I should mention is that “thee” and “thou” are singular 2nd person; “you” and “ye” are plural 2nd person. Greek makes that distinction in the difference between the pronouns “su” (singular) and “humeis” (plural).

Take a moment and look at the highlighted words above: These are words said in direct warning to His disciples right there in the first century! However, HUGE chunks between these sections of the passages are about the future, not about the first century!

I don't take anybody that tells me that I have to learn the Hebrew language to understand scripture seriously. You know what much of what you just wrote means to me? Pure Gibberish, it makes no sense at all and you didn't even make a real point. Its almost akin to watching some fool speak in tongues without interpretation. You don't have a real argument if you can't explain it in Kings English for all to clearly understand. However, at least the very last sentence of gibberish is easier to understand than the rest of it. To my understanding, you are trying to say that Apollyon does NOT refer to Satan. I never said it did so um, yeah, moving along. Your next point that's worth addressing is that Apollyon does not refer to the Antichrist. And apparently, this is based solely on your private interpretation with nothing to back it up in Kings English scripture, because it says in many ways quite plainly, that Apollyon IS the beast of Revelation, even before he was even referred as the seven headed ten horned of Revelation 13.

I should also like to mention that you have made a connection between the “king of the locusts” and the “beast that rises from the earth” that should NOT have been made.

What? You think that the only creatures within the earth are these locusts? You’re as bad as another guy I know who equated the creatures that came out of the earth in the fifth trumpet with the horsemen in the sixth trumpet!

Sometimes, the “clues” you find are NOT REALLY “CLUES" AT ALL! Just because the passages of Revelation 9 and Revelation 11 and 17 both use the “bottomless pit” does NOT MEAN THAT THEY ARE RELATED OR THAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME GUY!

One of the first things you need to get straight is that the word “angel” is a TRANSLITERATED word; that is, it is a GREEK word that was merely given English letters instead of Greek letters. The Greek word is “aggelos,” and it means and translates to “messenger.” Since the gamma-gamma combination (“gg”) sounds like our “ng” sound, the letter alpha was written as “a,” the letters gamma-gamma were written as “ng,” the letter epsilon was written as an “e,” and the letter lambda was written as an “l.” The “-os” ending is simply a noun ending that was not needed in English. Thus, we get our word “a-ng-e-l” or “angel.” That’s transliteration.

Why they transliterated this particular word instead of translating it I don’t know. We may NEVER “know" until after the Resurrection when we can talk to the translators directly and ask them WHY they did it. In any case, we may SUSPECT why they didn’t translate the word: They probably wanted to preserve the fact that THESE “messengers” were possibly supernatural messengers as opposed to human messengers. However, there are several different kinds of “messengers” mentioned in the Bible. Some are (possibly) supernatural beings, some are physical, human beings, and some are physical THINGS! Not all of God’s “messengers” are alive! Remember Paul’s words?

2 Corinthians 12:7-10
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger (Greek: aggelos) of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
KJV

A masculine noun in Greek does NOT mean that the noun is a person. As in any language, gender of the word does NOT dictate the gender of the thing that word describes. For instance, in Spanish, the words for “the door” is “la porta.” These are feminine words, but we don’t see the “door” as a female! In Revelation 9 (the sixth trumpet), we read the following:

Revelation 9:1-12
9 And the fifth angel (Greek: aggelos = messenger) sounded, and I saw a star (Greek: asteer = a masculine word meaning “star" like a “sown seed"; a glowing "heavenly body") fall from heaven (Greek: ouranos = the sky) unto the earth: and to him (it) was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he (it) opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

What we are seeing so far is a meteorite that falls to the ground, having the exact “key” coordinates to the abyss. It smacks into the ground and cracks the earth’s crust, opening the "pit with no bottom"; that is, a pit whose bottom has not been fathomed. Black smoke pours out of the opening and darkens the sun and the air of that place.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Out of this dark smoke comes these locusts and they land upon the ground. The text does NOT say that they were "LIKE locusts"; it says they WERE “locusts!" They were given “power” or poison, like the scorpions of the ground have “power” or poison.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

Here, we see a strange thing happening to these insects. They were NOT herbivorous! They had the desire to be carnivorous! And, they preferred to snack on human beings (at least, the ones who hadn’t been sealed)! However, they weren’t able to kill humans, only torment them!

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

This was always a mystery to me until I read up on the venom of scorpions:

In the Bantam Nature Guide (52) Insects of the World by Jeanne E. Remington (Bantam Books, Inc., New York, 1975), on page 11, the sub-article on Scorpions says this:

'The “tail” is held in position for stinging enemies and sometimes for subduing the insects and spiders that are the food of scorpions. To humans, the sting of most scorpions is merely painful. However, there are a few species, especially in northern Mexico and northern Africa, that inject nerve poisons and cause many fatalities a year in rural areas where antidotes are not quickly available.'

As a non-fatal nerve poison, it’s possible that the victims of such stings are UNABLE TO MOVE OR TALK! They are IMMOBILIZED! As such, they would not be able to kill themselves or to ask anyone else to do it for them! All they can do is wait it out and let the poison work out of their system!

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

These descriptions are simply descriptions of what Yochanan (John) saw. Their “array” was significant! They looked “armed to the teeth,” as the saying goes, ready to go to war, like war horses! On their heads were things similar to laurel wreaths of gold; that is their ANTENNAE were bright, shiny, and yellow like gold.
They had faces like the faces of men; that is, the front of their heads had all the bumps and crevices in such a position to resemble human faces. Get a good close-up of the front of the head of a common locust, and you will see what I mean. One can find one here: http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=JN.4oVFki3j5AJ7/GTBrJY8Jg&w=300&h=300&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0. Look at the lower half of it closely, and you will see the scrunched-up face of a human being below a helmet!

Notice, the text does NOT say that this hair was on the top of their heads! It is long, fine hairs all over their bodies!

The mandibles of the locust are good for chewing, but they are not as sharp as the piercing mandibles of katydids: These locusts appear to have both, but they are not able to inflict much damage with them - only pain!

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

The Greek word for “breastplate” is “thorax.” The chitin of their thoraxes was thick and impenetrable like iron! And, the sound of their wings was much lower in pitch than that of modern locusts, suggesting they were much larger in size.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
KJV

Finally, they had elongated abdomens similar to that of the scorpions with stings in their “tails,” also like scorpions, but all they could do was inflict pain upon their victims. Their king is like that of the queen in other species, like bees or ants. One male while all the others were female. When the male dies, all the species will die with it. It will take five months to eradicate the species. Again, this “king” is the MESSENGER from the bottomless pit, and his name means “destruction,” NOT “destroyer.” It’s a descriptor for the fact that when he dies, so will the species.

You know I don't think I've ever seen a collection of TLDR this vast in all my days online. Even in the days of dial up and telnet have I seen so much posted.

I would say it is impressive, but I cannot.

It is like reading the entire national budget. The long form will take months to read when just the short answer of we spend more than we make will do.

Nice cut, paste and typing skills people. But the answer is:

No one smegging knows.

Well, if that’s your attitude, why do you even bother with this site? You’re so negative, caustic, and disillusioned, that I wonder if anything said would help!

I am here to support that the King said things and they are being ignored.

You WON'T know anything about these things, only God does. Yet you spend your time copy and pasting line after line to support a point that you are told you won't know.

But you will have what YOU desire.

Okay, I’ll bite. Just what might those things be that only God knows anything about (which means you don’t know them, either)? I’m not trying to “support a point that I’m told I won’t know.” (Not that I even know what you are TALKING ABOUT!)

The King said you won't know the time.
Hence you cannot know the man that will be the beast.
Hence you cannot know where the man comes from.

All of this is guessing. Now WHY you need to spend so much time playing guess who; well that depends on the person.

But as these kinds of games are played all over media from the web to TV to print; I would say the logical choice is to make the person spouting their evidence to appear wise before men.

Which those people get their reward here with men on Earth.

I am saying that the time, and it is an ENOURMOUS amount, could be better spent serving people.

Since the anti-Christ is described as an angel that rises out of this place called the "bottomless pit" (where Satan will also be imprisoned for one thousand years), we have to pin point where this "pit" will be opened. If you've seen any of my threads, you should already know my answer to this question, so I won't waste my time. With that said, there is a ton of bickering between Christians about the specific region or location the anti-Christ will actually come from. We have to pin point where the pit will actually be opened on earth first before we even begin to answer this question. So my question is simple, where on earth will the anti-Christ arrive? Is it Europe? North America? South America? Canada? Africa? Middle East? Asia? Just pick a continent and show some scripture that gives some implications. Personally, I'm almost 100% certain that he's not going to come out of the middle east, but instead will brutalize his way towards the middle east and Israel, as the prophet Daniel strongly implies in the 11th chapter.
The anti christ is satan....If one knows as they should, where Christ returns to ,then you should know where the anti christ(satan)shall arise from.........

We should already know that an anti christ per scripture, is anyone that denies Jesus is the Christ, however in the true meaning of the word anti from below

antichrist: Greek word #500 antichristos (an-tee'-khris-tos); from # 473 (anti) and # 5547 (Christos); an opponent of the Messiah: KJV-- antichrist.

[The word antichrist is made up of two Greek words:]

Anti: Greek word # 473: anti (an-tee'); a primary particle; opposite, i.e. instead of, or because of (rarely in addition to): for, instead of, in place of (something) Often used in composition to denote substitution.

Christos: Greek word #5547: Christos (khris-tos'); anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus

we should know there's only one that shall claim to be ,(ie,instead of,)Christ and that is and can only be satan himself..........

2nd Thess 2:2-4 (events just prior to the Second Advent)
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (KJV)

The above can't fit anyone but satan himself!!!!!!!!

LOL! Who says that I BOTHER to know such things? No, I rest in the knowledge that GOD knows what will happen and controls when it will happen. You’ve mixed me up with someone else. Have a pleasant Shabbat (Sabbath), what’s left of it, and a good Yowm Rish’own (First Day of the week, Sunday).
