First, an overview:
From the rapture it is 1,260 days until mid-trib.
From mid-trib to the second coming 1,260 days.
From mid-trib to tearing down the AOD 1,229 days.
From mid-trib to hunting all of those with the mark being hunted down 1,290 days.
From mid-trib to the rededication of the Temple 2,300 days.
From the 1,229 days to the end of the MK 7 years.
After the 7 years eternity.

The four living creatures are called Angels by many, as in cherubim.
The fact is cherubim does not mean Angel. It means Guard.
It can apply to an Angel doing guard duty, as with the garden of Eden.
But saying the four living creatures are Angels runs into a problem that those saying they are Angels cannot overcome.
Here is the definitions of living creatures.
Clearly means flesh beings when talking about something in heaven.
On the earth it includes blood.
So they are not angels.
What are they?
My personal belief is that they were members of the pre-adamic Company of beings. Specifically those who did not rebel.

The 24 elders are much debate.
Angels aren't elders so we can eliminate them.
Where in the Bible speaks of 24 elders? Old testament Israel.
Remember, Israel is the wife of God, not bride of Christ, so we have to look at that relationship.
So I believe they represent Israel before the throne. Just like the Angels around the throne represent Angels. Just like the four living creatures represent the pre-adamic Company of beings.

Why Palms in Revelation?
Palm branches were waved in the Old Testament.
The scene in heaven is those coming out of the tribulation as martyrs waving palms.
But you do not see the church anywhere.
So the connection is revelation is back under Israel. So the practice of palm waving has returned.
