Someone asked me if I could start a forum on gardening as we progress. I complete forgot.
This week, we just finished one of the beds. We have another to fill. The soil is a bit rough but we're working on it. The woman who helped us put together the soil owns a nursery so I'm thinking we need more top soil and mixed it wrong or something. Open to suggestions. I need to get the egg shells out of the bed and put them back in the compost. I just haven't yet. My son did that.
Also open to ideas about keeping the rabbits away, because when I went to take this picture, Peter Rabbit was already hanging out looking for treats.
I bought beds that were sent back to Amazon. So for two 8 x 4s, I only paid $30. The soil was a bit more. Now we are waiting for chives, napa cabbage, lettuce, kale, sage, basil and other things I can't remember.
