SOMETHING different to do this year :)

GIFTS TO JESUS BOX

Another Christian Christmas activities is a “Gifts to Jesus Box.” Everyone writes down a gift they will gift to Jesus. They wrap it up and put in under the Christmas tree. The following year, open up the gift and see how well everyone did on their gift to Jesus.

my dear....with respect, I'd say get rid of the phallic symbol that's been wrapped in swaddling clothes (the tree) .....I'd also say we need to get rid of the self focus (the gift to ourselves wrapped as if it were a gift to Jesus)

Oh how the pagan mindset has infiltrated God's unspeakable gift to humanity!

With respect,
Gifts don't have to be physical objects, but a mindset on being a good person, reading the Bible more..or helping others.

I had a tradition some time ago, anyways, the tradition was that I would make a birthday card for Jesus and write him a special card. When he returns I would give them to him, if I'm still alive. Cheers!

What you're suggesting sounds like spiritual New Year resolutions.

If we give spiritual the whole year through. It is a great gift to give.

It is, but be careful not to be looking at yourself too closely as from experience I know it can take your focus off Jesus.

Hope you a lovely blessed Christmas.

@JenniferAutumn I do love the underlying thought of 2 Corinthians 9.15, about the Lord Jesus: "Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift".

Horatius Bonar wrote:

'Blessed be God, our God,
Who gave for us His wellbeloved Son,
The gift of gifts, all other gifts in one,
Blessed be God, our God.'

As the old time carol says, "Yet what I can I give him: give my heart."
