Looking at these (in combination)
Isaiah had spoken here saying....
Isaiah 6
[9] And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
[10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
The same was repeated to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (to whom) Jesus was sent here...
Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
And again, the same is spoken to the Jews here by Paul here...
Acts 28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
Acts 28:26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
And then Paul adds to the above saying
Acts 28
28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
So if you AGAIN reread Isaiah again (as we see it in all the above) as shown us in both Jesus and lastly in Paul
Which reads,
Isaiah 6
[9] And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
[10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed
Even as Paul says here
Romans 15
21 But as it is written,
To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
Paul had ended his quoting of Isaiah 6:10 in Acts 28:25-27 with verse 28 saying
Acts 28
28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles,
and that they will hear it. (See also Acts 13:46)
While the question that follows after in the next verse in Isaiah is
Isaiah 6
[11] Then said I, Lord, how long?
And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
And says,
Isaiah 6
[12] And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
Paul who argued the case for remaining in Jerusalem was told
Acts 22:21 And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.
And so again following up with Acts 28:28
Acts 28:28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
Which would also be fulfilling the same here also
Acts 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
Jerusalem first, then the Gentiles
Peter shows this was done through ignorance
Acts 3:17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
Even in the OT sins done through ignorance would be forgiven them, even various ways blaspheme by which men blaspheme inclusive of a word spoken against the Son of man (Matt 12:32, pattern shown in Paul Acts 26:9-11, 1 Tim 1:16, 1 Cr 15:8 born in due time )
1 Ti 1:3 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
Who became part of the time then present (of the remnant) the election by grace (or part of the symbolic seven thousand) Paul shows us in Elijah
(in Romans 11:1-5)
Romans 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. (which brings also into Isaiah 29:10) where in Isaiah 29:18 it speaks of when the deaf hearing the words of the book.
You can truly get sidetracked looking at so many things to bring into this, but returning back to
But it also follows the question that in Isaiah 6:11 (as shown in the above) the following
Isaiah 6
[12] And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
And then here in the next verse following that...
Isaiah 6
[13] But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
And speaking of the tenth there, just reminds me of for the tens sake here
Gen 18:33 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
Because that ten's sake in that context pertains to the preserving against the destuction shown us in Abraham of Sodom by fire itself. Reading similarly of the same in Romans 9:29 of "the seed" quoting Isaiah again.
Rom 9:29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
Saying here, "Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed" because it mentions "a tenth" in relation to the same, and the holy seed in the following verse (Isaiah 6:13) saying...
Isaiah 6:13 But yet "in it" shall be "a tenth" and "it" shall return...whose substance is "in them", "when they" cast their leaves: and so "the holy seed" shall be "the substance" thereof.
I can be sort of sloppy, not someone who can present things well, not a teacher (or teaching anything at all) just I am trying to build this better, so just taking these pieces and tying them in where I am catching the same.
Looking at these in light of
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
I have other parts I can sketch into it which I have written up in some various ways, but I figured I would post some of the above with the verses I am seeking to bring into it to show things better.
So if you have any feel free to post them here also if you feel they would be helpful, that would be great.
