You know Roy, I find opportunity with examples in many places to use to share my faith. It might be the garden by a river or pond. Someone else's actions or choices. While watching any number of different things bugs or birds, the sky, sun shine or the rain.
Thats how I showed and expressed my faith "Spirit " with my Son. Often using what I had taught him in the word by pointing these truths out to him in every day life. Every day life provides opportunity every where so long as your heart is for the Lord.

As David said whether I be on Gods mountain top or the valley of death He is always there. All you have to do is be looking for Him.

It is indeed true that God, as a character, has appeared in movies. Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, The Greatest Story Ever Told are but a few.

The modern problem is that God does not appear in movies any more except as a whipping boy for some atheist agenda of hatred.

St Augustine once wrote that the theater was not of God. I don't have the exact quote, but he did write that he was quite fond of theater when he was young. After his conversion, he abandoned attendance as he believed that it was a lie and that it tended to lead people away from God.

Motion pictures became a popular medium of entertainment in the beginning of the twentieth century. Quite soon after that, nefarious leaders realized that it could be used to manipulate the attitudes and behaviors of the masses. 1930's Germany brought this sort of mass indoctrination to the level of a science and called it progaganda. In the United States, the popularity of radio theater was used to promote private goods and services. Although advertising had been around a long time, the modern media increased its influence immensly. Television became popular in the 1950's and the Internet followed in the 1990's. The word propaganda is no longer used to describe the directed influence of government and private corporations upon the masses. The new word is 'public relations'.

If St. Augustine thought that live theater was bad, he should have been given a peek at twenty first century methods of godless indoctrination in the media.

There was once a lively discussion in this country about the adverse effect that TV had on violence. Today that discourse is a thing of the past. It should be noted, however, that the media today is no less intent on dismantling cultural morality, religion and the love of God from among us. Yet no one raises an objection. None, at least, that I've heard about.

Thou I don't put a lot of stock in Augustine, I have looked into the history of theater.
In a nut shell I'm certain, its roots as in the actors, channeled spirits. You can still today read or listen to acclaimed actors, or others speak about them, getting into character.
With that in mind compare todays more acclaimed actors in their rolls and in their lives or interviews.

I'm glad you liked the video.
And I understand you when you said God in the Movies.
It's my be simply not the best way to express yourself, and I don't think RPJ is being critical as he is being aware of the phrasing of your words.
You affirmed that with me, that its not the movie so much as God living in you as you watch the movie..... that gives it meaning and a message. :)
The very same thing happens when people read a bible verse, one sees it one way, another sees something else.
