As we watched an old Jimmy Swaggert crusade very early this morning, as is our habit the Lord spoke something to me very strongly. Very plainly. When He does this I always remember it.

Swaggert was preaching in California in 1987 I think and he said while in prayer God told him to do something that he feared he could not do. He stated this to God and then in a vision he saw a great hand come down and envelop his left wrist like an immeasurably strong vise. As God gripped him he spoke and said "I'll pull you through". He provided all that was needed to accomplish what He'd asked.

Like Gideon, the brave man hiding in the wine press from the philistines who had no courage, we see God putting on Gideon like an overcoat and marching into battle. God is the filler.

As Jimmy was describing this the Lord spoke so plainly to me "I'll fill up whatever is missing". Things in the spirit are so mystical. God can impart knowledge to you in a moment of time but a veritable book is required to partially describe what He revealed to you in that nanosecond.

Need salvation? God is the filler upper. Need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit? God is the filler. Need favor for that job? God is the one that puts your name at the top of the list.

Philippians 4:19 KJVS
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Psalm 81:10 KJVS
I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Whatever it is you are facing, whatever you are lacking He will provide whatever you need. You don't need me to tell you that we always lack when it comes to being filled with His spirit. I personally continually hunger and thirst for more of Him. To hear His voice. To receive a vision or dream. To be impressed with scriptures that speak exactly to your present need. The addiction to the anointing of the spirit of the living God is one that we need never be delivered from.

Psalm 42:2 KJVS
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

If we are to be filled then we must fall before Him with all of our heart. If we are to speak for Him then we must have close communion with Him. Prayer, Bible mining for hidden treasure, pouring your heart out before Him. A totally clean slate. After we have truly met with Jesus and He tells us "I will be found by you when you have sought me with all of your heart" then we are ready to stand before others to share the spiritual food that He has given to us. Even to post on this forum cannot be some mental excercise of discussing scriptures. It must come from the Spirit, the inner man. That man that has continual communion with the Lord.

What are your needs today? Oh yes we all have material needs, real ones not whims or wants but needs. We have need of physical healing and relief. I often hurt so bad that I wonder at the prospect of living many years in such a state. You can only cry so much. But I must, MUST believe with all of my heart that Jesus the Christ, son of the living, Almighty, eternal creator God will fill me with whatsoever is needed to carry on another minute, an hour, a day. What other options do I have? Certainly I trust in no man to deliver me.

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJVS
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

As a Christian there will be much BEARING IT. I shrink from bearing it but am compelled by sheer necessity to do so. In order to bear it God will have to provide some very big fillings. Endurance, discipline, faith, trust, complete belief that He cares for me beyond anything I can imagine.

Ephesians 5:18-20 KJVS
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; [19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; [20] Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

2 Corinthians 13:11 KJVS
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Be encouraged friends God has an endless supply of whatever it is that you need.

Amen

I usually stop watching when Donnie's son is preaching.
To much yelling, screaming and jumping around for me.
But I guess young people are getting saved through his youth services. So, that's good.
I do like Jimmy's music.
