This is not my personal testimony but it directly involved someone my wife and I know very well. It involves the role of the medical community today in healing people:
A dear sister in the Lord met my wife shortly after my job had brought us to Oklahoma in 1987. It was through that meeting that God eventually brought us to the place where we now attend church regularly. Since that time the sister and her husband have moved to the Wichita, Ks area but her two grown children continue to attend church with me and my wife in Oklahoma.
About two years ago that same sister was involved in a car accident and apparently slight injuries to her head caused the doctor in the hospital where she was taken to X-ray her head in order confirm there was no serious unseen damage. What the X-ray showed was a tumor in her brain about the size of a walnut completely unrelated to her car accident. The tumor, even if it was benign would eventually have killed her. There were no symptoms before the accident warning her that she had a problem. Now as a result of the X-ray she was told that surgery was necessary.
At that point they did not know whether the tumor was cancerous or not but since it seemed to be growing the surgery was essential even if it was benign. The surgery was done and the tumor which proved to definitely be cancerous was completely removed. She recovered from the surgery and returned to work. Her testimony then was that God had allowed the accident to allow the discovery of the tumor so it could be removed before it killed her.
But... that was not the end of the story.
About two months ago as part of a regular check up for someone who has already had cancer a new X-ray was taken of her head. A tumor was back in the same location in her brain as the first time and was approximately the same size it had been when it was previously removed. She was told that surgery would again be necessary. Even though they were certain that the new tumor would be cancerous again, because of its location neither chemotherapy nor radiation treatments were options. She saw the specialists and finally last month [Feb, 2018] she was going for another X-ray prior to the surgery.
About this time a dear old brother [who I also knew quite well] who has definitely been used of God many times in his lifetime in the healing of physical problems was traveling from Kentucky to his home in Oklahoma. As he was driving and talking to God he was advised to pray for our dear sister. He did as he was told. Our sister went to her appointment in Wichita and they were unable to locate the tumor or any abnormality in the new X-rays.
Consider how the doctors were used. Consider how great is our God! As of this date she is healthy and is working at her job in Wichita.
