The theme here is without God's direct intervention for you as a particular individual person, you would never have believed in Christ and be saved. You would have continued on in sin and your evil ways and doings and gone to hell when you died.

If you really comprehend this, then your faith in Christ, God has granted you your belief in Him.
Because only by believing in Him are you forgiven all your transgressions against God.

Romans 12 says everyone should think soberly on this matter.

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Philippians 1 says it in this way

27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but [f]to you of salvation, and that from God.

29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30 having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.
