    Hello there,

Reading the thread on abuse within marriage, within this section of the forum, I began thinking about God's Order of things in regard to the role of male and female, either within marriage, in employment, or in society generally. Asking the question: 'Are the problems of today within society generally, the result of ignoring God's order of things?'

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.
    In Christ Jesus
    Chris

I think it's the result of people putting themselves on the throne. They assume their pitiful way of seeing is the sum of how to and what to see. When and wherever this occurs oppression of some type surfaces.

Sin is the simple answer, but it trickles down into many different areas. One to highlight is that there are some sociological studies that actually support holding to Biblical values like marriage and working.

Here is one: Creating an Opportunity Society
This is secular, but does support a Biblical view of marriage.

Another study that supports this idea is a study done by an Evangelical Christian about the positive impact on Protestant Missions on societies as a whole: Robert Woodberry and the Benefits of Protestant Missions

Of course, there is Biblical/Scriptural support for this idea, but I wanted to let you know that it is also confirmed by the observations of others, both believers and unbelievers.

    Blessings!
