The cat at the shelter.... there's an indoor room plus large yard for the cats.

This dog was rescued from a greenhouse where she sought refuge. The kind owner called the shelter.

This dog was rescued by kind tourists. Fivos spent two years at the shelter being loved.

A lady visiting from Germany drove four hours to deliver a stray dog to the shelter in Crete Greece.

The dog Karin (resting in the corner) had been kept in a municipal shelter in a cage for one and a half years! Never had a walk. So Takis took her. She is adjusting well. He hopes to walk her soon.

The other dog who is still petrified of people was rescued from the mountains. It needs to be socialized.

@FredVB The orange blind cat sharing the office with the diabetic cat got adopted. He will be going to Switzerland to live. Many people in Europe adopt from the shelter in Crete, Greece.

When the blind cat was in the outdoor area, he only laid by a rock in the corner. So Takis moved him into the office to be around the staff.

Here are some of the senior dogs enjoying life at the Crete shelter run by Takis. First dog was dumped in the sea after working for his owner as a hunting dog for years! Someone rescued him from the sea.

This dog still needs to be socialized more. But she is much better. She used to just run up and down in her kennel....never letting Takis near her!

@Marvelloustime @Nancy This shows you how large the Crete shelter is. 650 plus dogs plus some cats. He also has a few goats.

Takis is building a new house to live in on the property.
