My SIL is a recovering JW.
His hypocritical parents, not only see him regularly, they are going to 'watch an Elvis impersonator' on the Lake, where the fire works disply happens to be.
For those who are unaware, JW do not celebrate birthdays, including the birth of our country,

I remember something in the Bible saying even if we didn't believe in God, it doesn't make God untrue.
Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
So to me the same principle would apply.
Because they don't believe in or participate in Independence Day, doesn't make it untrue.
It is there FREEDOM and their RIGHT not to participate.
That is the very thing that makes this country great.
FREEDOM to choose.
I hear what your saying.. if your going to talk the talk then walk the walk.
Are the "hypocritical parents" JW's?
Perhaps they are having a change of heart and trying to walk a middle line.
I will keep them in my prayers. Your SIL and his parents, and you too.
Don't fret, God works in mysterious ways.

Yes. And thanks for the praise.
My daughter and I talked last night about him really needing therapy to get over the trauma from the cult, which I’ve learned through him the JW is. (We watched a movie called the Apostasy that accurately reflects the mind control tactics and twisting Scripture)
The mind control cult left my SIL a broken man, unable to think for himself and has turned from God, connecting him to the abuses of the church
No real lead in that one....hahah...I guess fireworks imitating iron cannon balls will do :cool:
I watched this last night on Rumble carried by RSBN
I'm watching it again this morning as I missed some here and there.
I'm not worried about the future of this country.
Maybe from China and those they have put incharge to infiltrate us.
But a lot of people are awake and see what's happening.
Do you thnk that all the people in the 13 colonies understood what was happening by the King of Britain?
I'm sure many were just living their daily lives, trying to survive, until one day the Declaration of Independence was signed.
I'm watching this country right now and it is falling, falling, and falling fast.
But it's only pockets, here and there. The "silent majority" are quite awake.
I have a feeling next 4th of July will truly be awesome!

But then again in favor of the JWs, remember that under Adolph Hitler many JWs suffered imprisonment and death rather that go against their faith in God. This they did while the majority of the people, who in name were Christians, were like the priest and Levite who passed by on the other side of the road rather than stopping and helping the man beaten and robbed. It was the Samaritan, an ostracized 'dog', who stopped and gave from his heart what was needed.
LOL, rock on, reminds me of my youth. I used to have an AR-15 and M-16 on borrow from the armory. I also shot some M60's and grenade launchers. Ran the M60 out of a helicopter in training. My drill instructor shot a 50 cal machine gun with incendiary rounds that cut apart a vehicle. Fun stuff.

Ye I took that pic... The Mallard originates from the northern hemisphere. They were introduced into Australian ponds and live well with our animals
