We often hear those that say God's chosen are the Jewish people. Let us take a look in Romans to see what Paul said about this subject.

Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Rom 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Rom 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Looking first at 4:13 we see the promise was made to those of faith.
Now let us look at 4:16 here it says it is of faith by grace: to the end when it might be sure to all the seed; not only to the children of Abraham, but to those that are of the faith of Abraham.

This is why the name 'Abraham' means the father of many nations.

Now in my words it says: The promise was made to all people who would have faith in Jesus, first to the Jews and then to whosoever will.

The children of Israel are faithful Jews and Gentiles, and today they are called Christians.

The arena of stiff neck rebels has shifted to the Church. You are absolutely correct.

You have only told half the story.

Now you need to teach us what it says about Israel in Romans 10 and 11.

Then you have the whole story.

Thank you.

Romans further tells that the Jews whether by blood or adoption are those who follow Christ.

Romans 2
28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;
29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

Hi Son of Man,

Thank you for more scripture.

Nice try

The recipients are still Jews .... not us.

The israelites, " Jews" are Gods choosen people, He made them a promise, He will keep His promise, no like men. Distorting the truth will never change that fact.

The promise was fulfilled in Christ.
