Hello my name is Brad. I live in North Carolina. I am 29 and have been married 4 years now. We dont have any kids yet but we have 2 doggies that we treat like our kids....I am in the process of becoming a Deacon in our church (presby). I am looking very much forward to that knowing that it will not only help me keep my life in check but help me help others in a way that is needed. I am still learning the bible, I thought I knew enough before I started my training but that was a fast lesson to learn, that I didn't know as much as I thought I did.... I am the leader for a small group in the church that is really testing me and making me do things that I have not, up until now, been comfortable doing in front of people. Praying out loud is one, leading a religious discussion is something that I never thought I would be doing, but alas here I am.I am a web designer by trade and have been in the IT field for the last 10 years or so. I really want to be a pilot of some type, I want to eventually own my own charter company one day.My wife and I are considering adopting internationally, from china. I want it more than I think my wife does now. I am in constant prayer that God will tell me one way or the other about what route to take in this en devour. I pray constantly that he will lay it on my wifes heart to have the same excitment about this that I do. God is never on time but is never late so I know when the time is right all the answers will make themselves know.Thats about it. If you want to know anything else just ask.....

Hi Hoagie, nice to meet you. I know how you feel about that praying out loud in front of people thing. Just keep ploughing on with it though, and eventually you'll just naturally launch into it when needed.

Welcome to the forums, Brad. I once tried to adopt a physically handicapped boy, but I found it was too expensive. I told them I thought I was adopting and not buying a child.Anyway, you want to make sure your wife is in full agreement with adopting, or you could have marital problems because of it. Make prayer a priority in this matter. Sometimes, fasting is in order while praying.

Hi Hoagie welcome to CB I had to laugh reading your intro. Isnt that so true of all of us as soon as we think we know the Bible we find out there is a whole neither part to it we never saw before This is why its called the living Word no one can ever know it all. The more you learn the more you you realize there is to learn. I've heard people that have 30+ years and are still learning.anyway welcome aboard. Just jump in anywhere we have Newbies, to bibile students/teachers and everything in between so hopefully you'll find somethings of interest.God Blesskriss

Seems like we share some interests. I'm an avid web designer and I love to mess with just about anything dealing with computers. It's always nice to meet a technically inclined Christian because the internet gives us so much to work with.Welcome to CB!

It also can be very tempting at times. I had a job at the same place as a computer technician. I had to do several investigations on pornography and other illicit activity on state property. I have one conviction under my belt.....if that is something to brag about. I am so glad I am out of that job........I am currently looking at a career move.....news to follow.
