Hello everyone! My name is Christina, I'm fairly new to the whole practicing of Christianity. I was not raised with religion, and it was really never talked about. Although it wasn't really discouraged either. But over the last year or so, I felt myself being drawn to learn and read and pray. Never in my life before had I had this urge, or was I even interested. With in the last few months, I decided for the first time in my life to attend church for me. I introduced my sons to the church and am slowly trying to incorporate the lords words into my life and my children's lives. It's difficult especially in this world today, and also to break my old habits of not really caring and giving into temptations. I'm hoping by joining this forum that I'll be able to grow in my knowledge of the lord and his teachings, so I can live my life to honor him. And also to teach my boys properly, the way of life.

I'm just wondering about that name, hotprincess. It doesn't sound very appropriate for a Christian forum, or maybe I'm just reading something into the name that isn't there--like porn sites that say "Hot Babes". No, I don't visit them, but I know about them. If I'm seeing something that isn't in that name, then I will apologize.

I hope God will use us to help you in any way we can.On this site you will find different views on some subjects, but don't let it confuse you. Difference of opinion is common in the Church and it's ok to disagree (as long as we are willing to submit our opinions to the word of God and come to the discussion with the understanding that we could be wrong).
I actually use that username on a bunch of other sites. It's easier for me to just carry it over to here as well, so I don't have a bunch of other usernames to remember. I actually chose that username as basically a way for me to make sure my exboyfriend wouldn't find me online. It's a name that would be the last thing he would think of to look up to try and find me. Plus also since leaving my ex boyfriend my self esteem has went up and basically I feel that I am pretty and should be treated like a princess, and won't settle for anything else. Yes I can understand your concern about the name being used on a Christian forum. But that is the meaning behind it. Sorry if I made you think otherwise.

Well, if no one else has a problem with the name, I can overlook it. I don't mean to be offensive. I just tend to be a bit outspoken. I also tend to be wrong more than I'm right. Why would your boyfriend have a problem with you visiting Christian Web sites, or do you visit places you probably shouldn't? You don't have to answer that if you don't want; it's none of my business. I just tend to be very facetious.
No my present boyfriend would have no problem with it at all. I use that name so that my exboyfriend wouldn't find me online. It's the last thing he would think of to try and look me up. No I don't visit websites I shouldn't. I just didn't want to be found anywhere. So that's why I use that name. It's no other purpose other than that.
christina, my niece got me back into going to church really=well really jesus did but through my god daugher hannah. we are kinda having a tough time now, my folks are raising hannah, and the bad uncle tim, is also in the haaas. i was in another depression, and asked jesus to bring me out. he did. but depressions aint all bad, with my "chemistry", hope brings me energy and anxiety. but jesus tells me i can handle it without a "budweiser". i ask for you alls prayers for hannah and my family, my sister is detained. God works his glory in mysterious ways. JESUS IS GOD. god bless
Tim, you and your family have my prayers. All families these days, seem to have some sort of dysfunction. The way to fix everything is through God. We give our problems to him and he will help us. I am just learning this now. It takes alot of adjusting in my way of thinking in order to do this, instead of me taking charge of my life, I need to have the Lord lead me. But I have found his way is better and easier. Just have hope and Faith, and it will all work out in the end. It may take time, but with patience everything gets taken care of.

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing as Jon-Marc. I kept waiting to see the link to a porn site or something similar. Then after I didn't see the link I thought maybe it was some kind of inside joke. I am glad you gave an explanation. I would probably still be wondering.
