Recently I was meditating on a movie I watched based on a true story where a teenage boy falls through the ice of a frozen pond. He was underwater for 20 minutes before they found his body....they performed CPR in the ER for 45 minutes...they finally quit all efforts and stepped out to let the mother come in and see him and say her goodbyes....she cried out to God to give him life...as she continued to pray his heartbeat came back.
He was transported to a specialty hospital and one of the best known specialists in neurology attended him. He came out to speak to the mother and told her he would likely not survive through the night because his organs was shutting down.
She respectfully told him that she needed him to be the best he knows to be and to do all he knows to do and let her do what she needs to do best which is trust God.
She wouldn't allow anyone in her sons room that spoke or thought negative towards her sons recovery.
A few days later he woke up completely healed with no side effects. The doctor said there is no other explanation other than it was a miracle.
Same situation happened to a boy from my church....doctors would run tests and give the parents the findings and in spite of him showing signs of brain activity the doctors dismissed it as involuntary muscle and nerve spasms. The final report they did an MRI and the doctor told the parents the part of the brain that supports life was dead. The doctor advised the parents that the only thing that is keeping his body alive was the machines. The parents accepted the report signed a DNR and unplugged the machines. 24 hours later he died....another 24 hours later his organs were living in 4 children.
So I kept comparing the 2 situations and it really did occur to me that Doctors treat sickness and disease, broken bones and mental and emotional illnesses...they are programmed to find something wrong with us....and give us a bad report.
We go to a doctor and actually PAY him to give us a bad report. We sit in the patient's exam room, the nurse does a prescreen to find out what brought you in.....the doctor comes in examines you, maybe run a few blood tests, then comes up with a diagnosis as to what is wrong. Gives you a script and sends you home.
Then we share with our family and friends what the doctor said....basically being in agreement with the doctors report.
The mother whose son received a miracle refused to believe the doctor's report. She stood on the Word of God and spoke life into her son.
Romans 3:4 Let God be true and evey man a liar.
I personally have received more healing by the power of God than I ever have from a doctor.
But my point is whose report are you going to believe? (I am not anti-doctor and we need doctors).
When I was 25 y.o. I went to the doctor and after the test results came back he told me I had uterine cancer and needed a hysterectomy.
I said, No I do not have cancer, and no I do not need a hysterectomy. I left, went home and prayed and spoke His Word, several scriptures. and declared I am healed and that was the end of it.
So the more I think about it the more I am convinced that to stay healthy and alive I will stay away from doctors as much as possible and stand on His Word instead.
