Seems very unfair that a God that can magically fix people doesn't bother until after they're dead.

A lot is made about theodicy and the Epicurean dilemma:

Would God be willing to prevent evil but unable? Therefore he is not omnipotent. Would he be capable, but without desire? So he is malevolent. Would he be both capable and willing? So why is there evil? And if he is neither capable or willing, why call him "God"?

Evil does exist. I trust God, for whatever goals He has for us, has determined that it is necessary that we know both Good and Evil. That we experience both suffering and compassion.

Otherwise, I'd have to take the Nihilist position: S**t happens, and then you die. There's no meaning in suffering.

If a criminal asks the Judge for mercy and the Judge grants his plea, would you be envious?
Envious is the wrong word. Disgusted would be a better word.
Firstly, if the judge paid the penalty for someone who had no regard for human life in this life just because they believed in him with very little, or no evidence, I'd question the judge's motivation.
Secondly, if the same judge would punish someone who hadn't actually committed any crime apart from none belief based on evidence.....
Then I'd worry about the judge's judgement.

It's all back to front.
Silly unrealistic nonsense written down by superstitious virgin obsessed goat herders.

It's 2026 count the years.

Ww sure do have a merciful and gracious Father.
Would you accept that you could, possibly be rubbing shoulders with some particularly unsavoury characters for eternity?
Those unsavoury characters are there enjoying a spiritual eternity, just because they accepted Jesus Christ as their lord and saviour.
Would your spiritual being be able to accept that good people, who lived good honest lives didn't make it?

From what I've seen of you. I don't think that you could.

You’re right; I couldn’t—but unsavory characters wouldn’t make it to that point. God knows His kids and He can’t be fooled. He knows you too, and believe it or not He understands what you’re going through.

All things are possible with God. He will resurrect us to eternal life for believers and to judgment for non believers. I trust God and Jesus is my Savior, he grants eternal life to those who believe. My faith is in Jesus and I pray that you come to this saving faith and accept him as your Savior.
Think about what you're saying.

"He will resurrect us to eternal life"

How? Billions of people have lived and died since the time of Jesus... What's he going to do? Click his fingers?

"Judgement for none believers"

Where is all the information stored? How does he dfferentiate?

Is there a supercomputer in heaven (next to the golden throne) with the thoughts of billions of people stored?

Flippant fleeting thoughts, are they stored?

You don't think a God that created the universe could have the resources?

I don't think that a God that created the universe would be interested in such things.

Something so intelligent couldn't possibly be so petty.
Yeah, He could. He can do anything! And He can also feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry [them] in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young. Isaiah 40:11

I don't, are you saying that a God that created the milky way would be the slightest bit interested in any of my thoughts?
Interested enough to keep a record?
Interested enough to punish me for them?
Yes. Even the hairs on your head are numbered. Not one sparrow dies that he doesn’t know about

All things are possible with God.
Jesus Christ said it and I believe it.

My life is a miracle, @Riven, and I am sure many other believers can say, that their life is a miracle.

Six years ago this December something happened to me where I could have died and thought I was going to die. There were other times due to what was happening, that I thought I was dying. But the Lord is merciful and gave me a wonderful healing. I am so thankful.

When I was a child, there was a very dangerous situation. I suddenly heard an audible voice saying "Go home." I immediately obeyed the voice and that saved me from injury or worse.

When I was about seven years old, I had an experience with God. I won't say anything more as it's holy.

You know, I was in a bad car accident a few years ago. Everyone says it should have killed me. But I managed to live with a broken sternum and some cervical issues.

They said that the Lord was watching over me. But what about all of the people that died that day in car crashes? Why didn't the Lord protect them? I'm still waiting for an answer on that one.

Riven, first of all we thank God that He protected you so that you are able to live a mobile life. I take it you are able to get around?

About other people that have died in crashes, we have to realize that God's ways are beyond our comprehension.

Have you ever considered that they may not believe in God’s protection? They don’t believe, so accidents are everywhere.

Yeah, the chest is the only thing that still hurts. Arthritis, I think. But I still get around.
