[Matthew 8:2-4 KJV] 2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

There are those who say they follow Jesus and all he taught, preached, and commanded pertains to them.

Looking at the passage above, we read that a leper was cleansed and commanded by Jesus to offer a gift to the priest as Moses commanded. If you have been healed from anything, shouldn't you offer a gift to the priest?

Here is the scripture dealing with leprosy: [Lev 13:2 KJV] 2 When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh [like] the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:

Leprosy was a skin infection as well, as seen in the verses following Leviticus 13:2, so shouldn't you go to the priest following any infection?

You may say that was only for lepers to do. If you say this you are admitting that not everything in scripture pertains to you after all.

You may I can't do this because there is no Levitical priests any more. If you say this you are admitting that not everything in scripture pertains to you after all.

Jesus said to keep what Moses commanded in Matthew 8:4. Jesus said to keep the commandments as seen in the verse below.

[Mat 19:17 KJV] 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Jesus did not say keep my commandments as he said in John 14:15, but he said to keep the Mosaic law; not just some of the law, but the whole law, all the commandments.

Can you keep the law if there are no Levitical priests?

Once again, you must admit you are unable to follow Jesus in everything he commanded.

You can learn and be enriched from everything Jesus taught and commanded, but the way to follow Jesus is to follow Paul.

[1Co 11:1 KJV] 1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.

Our commands are found in Paul's epistles and are commands from Jesus.

[1Co 14:37 KJV] 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
