We will find complete peace only when we express unconditional love, because to love is the true nature of our spirit. When we choose selfishness over love, we go against God and our true nature. This causes turmoil in our spirit. Furthermore when we choose selfishness we hurt ourselves and others by the anxiety, envy, greed, and hate it produces. Selfishness also leads people to violate the natural order established by God. Such violations include contraception, in-vitro fertilizations, abortion (which is the cruelest form of violence), divorce, fornication, adultery, and perverted and sterile sexual acts. Such violations result in breakdown of the moral fabric of the society and of family life; resulting in much suffering, especially to little children.

Unconditional love is the spirit God which is expressed in selflessness, sacrifice and service. To fall in love is to embrace this spirit; and trust in God enables us to embrace this spirit. Because love is selfless, it frees us of selfishness; which in turn frees us from everything that selfishness enslaves us with. When we embrace love we will love our enemies by our acts of sacrifice and prayers for them, will not speak or think evil about others, offer the other cheek when slapped on one, give to everyone that asks, do not ask back what we lend, give and expect nothing in return (Luke 6:27-30), consider our opportunity to sever others as our greatest gift (from God), live to love and see the presence of God in every human being. We can embrace this love, if we let the spirit of God which enabled him (in the person of Jesus) to sacrifice his own life those who hurt and betrayed him, touch our heart.

Sounds like romanticism to me. Dark and hard to understand. I suppose because it's diabolical.

Jesus said, MY PEACE to I give you, not as the world gives.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is my PEACE.

Peace by definition, is the absence of conflict or turmoil. What is often meant in the use of the word, is peacefulness or a feeling of serenity.

The best way to find the peace that is offered by God is to understand and more importantly, to accept what He accomplished at Calvary. Recall the declaration of the angel that announced peace on earth and goodwill toward men (from God). True peace comes from knowing that God is not angry at you. Those who are at work in the pursuit of avoiding or staying His wrath and anger, are they who have not yet found the fulness of His peace. This pursuit can cause weariness. Jesus said to come to Him, those who are weary and heavy laden. Calvary has lifted the burden from the backs of men to do what they can to try to find peace with God. Peace is freely offered.

Grace and peace.

There is no peace in this life. Same way there is no happiness. There are peaceful, happy moments here and there but overall there will be no peace until we come into presence of God.
In this fallen world there are forces working restlessly on bringing pain and misery to everybody, everywhere. You just have to endure and get through, reward at the end is well worth it.

I disagree. The peace of Christ is always there and it assists in the turmoil of life so as not to allow life destroy us. Even if our soul complains or screams out at times the peace of Christ keeps the ebbs of life steady.

Matthew 5:9-12 The Poetry of Persecution and the Pursuit of Peace, a Poem by Jesus

Jesus creates a Hebrew poem about persecution in the sermon of the mount using wordplay for:

“Make or Pursue” (רודפי) [the Hebrew reads “Blessed are those who pursue peace”]
“Persecuted” (הנרדפים)
“Persecute” (ירדפו)
“Persecuted” (רדפו)

“Rejoice” (שישו)
“Reward” (ששכרכם)

9 Blessed are the peacemakers {“Make or Pursue” (רודפי)},
for they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted {“Persecuted” (הנרדפים)} for righteousness’ sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are you when they revile you and persecute {“Persecute” (ירדפו)} you, and say all kinds of evil against you [falsely] for my sake. 12 Rejoice {“Rejoice” (שישו)} and be glad, for great is your reward {“Reward” (ששכרכם)} in heaven, for so they persecuted {“Persecuted” (רדפו)} the prophets who were before you. I like what the OP said...
Many Christians have a bad habit of looking at the physical image of Jesus claiming they LOVE HIM SO.. yet they fail to look at the True Jesus who the Bible tells us is called THE WORD OF GOD(whom became flesh) that we are to love honor and obey so we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds to no longer live a dog eat dog life as the heathen do, that only fends for themselves or loves to fight and draw blood or ruin others and their lives. Or to go around birthing babies without fathers to support and guide them leaving the mother having to suffer to be the provider of the illegitimate child or abort it once they have had their fun.
If any Christian believes that it is ok with God to continue in a life of sinful behavior of putting self first, or greed or fornication or adultery or lawlessness or lying tongues, or gossipy slander or coveting what others have to the point of being unfaithful to Christ(The Word) to gain it for themselves and live like Jesus covered up all of their sins and their sins continued don't matter They are deceived and they know not God nor His Word.

Love is to cause no man harm or loss due to our own actions or words. This means that when it is up to you, do and say what is for the best intensions for the other rather they like it or not does not matter, what matters is that it is pleasing to God in keeping with His Word. That is our struggle in this life to cross over from death unto life with the help of the Spirit who guides us on how to walk in line with Christ being one with the Word on the straight and narrow path with the Word who is our GOOD SHEPHERD who's Rod/Word/Law keeps us safe and living in Peace far from the paths of OUTER DARKNESS where the wolves tear the Sheep up.
The more you overcome the fleshly lusts of our carnal nature that is in the image of the beast just as Cain had who was of the Wicked one.. the sooner you will find peace in your life for obedience to Christ who God has placed all spiritual blessings in. His Word is the key and His sheep hear HIS VOICE/WORD and follow.
So walk in the Love of God... Walk in His Word whom is the only Begotten Son.
Rom 13:8-10
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
KJV
Luke 18:29-30
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
