Sir, please forget all the legalism that you keep mentioning in many of your posts, and concentrate on simple faith in the Scriptures and in the finished work of the Lord Jesus at the Cross.

I think that escaping eternal Hell fire is a valid reason.

What do we do for someone we really love? Is not my love for God reason enough do strive to always do His will?

Aged 12 yrs I heard the word of God, that all had sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that also the wages of sin is death. I also heard that God has provided a Saviour, by whose work we can be forgiven for all our sins, and be reconciled to God. That He had sent His only Begotten Son into the world to bare the penalty of sin upon Himself and die in our place, so that all who believe on Him, may not die eternally, but receive the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, and be raised to life again on the day of resurrection, to receive of the loving-kindness of God for eternity through Him.
I took Him at His word, and believed that He would do what He said He would, and asked the Lord Jesus Christ to be my Saviour: He has done so, and I am now, in the eyes of God, 'complete' in Him, by God's grace.
