If you still believe Jesus is going to return we have to submit to what John had said to the 7 churches, cause if the one does not do it, Churches are not going by what the Apostle John had stated in, the message of Revelation.

*Note I love you even if you do believe that he is still coming! Just desired to share.
To the Church in Ephesus
2 “To the angel[a] of the church in Ephesus write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right handand walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.
4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstandfrom its place. 6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
To the Church in Smyrna
8 “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write:

These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. 9 I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not,but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.
To the Church in Pergamum
12 “To the angel of the church in Pergamum write:
These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. 13 I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.
14 Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. 15 Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
To the Church in Thyatira
18 “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write:
These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. 19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.
20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adulterywith her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. 23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
24 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you, 25 except to hold on to what you haveuntil I come.’
26 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27 that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepterand will dash them to pieces like pottery’[b]—just as I have received authority from my Father. 28 I will also give that one the morning star.29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the Church in Sardis
3 “To the angel[c] of the church in Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits[d] of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. 3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6 Whoever has ears, let them hearwhat the Spirit says to the churches.
To the Church in Philadelphia
7 “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open doorthat no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. 10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the Church in Laodicea
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

It is interesting most would like to have some type of writing that Jesus came back, the truth is there is not one, other than some historians who wrote that the destruction was the cause of his coming back, and the believers there were changed as a twinkling of the eye, and only believers would have seen Him taken away as the Bride of Christ in that day in age, the unbelievers (such as Josephus, Sertonius, Tactics), wrote about the destruction that they had seen, there was 1.2 million Jewish people, and the Temple was destroyed by fire, and all material religion was done away with, and some people were dispersed outward from being taken captive, however it is still an interesting note.

I believe we live in the Spiritual age of Fulfillment, but some do not, it is up to them how they believe, and in contextually from the writings of the Gospel and what Jesus had said, and also the Apostles, Paul, John, Peter, talked about the day of the coming of the Lord, including the last message from the Old Testament Prophet Malachi.

The Bible is still important to help increase our faith in trusting God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, so there is no reason to throw the Bible away, as the kingdom that has been established is going to continue going on forever, in which God starts work on the hearts and minds of individuals.

One day we too will be changed in the twinkling of the eye, being resurrected given a spiritual body when we die, and all individually have our own life to live, and our own individual faith in death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Faith - Hebrews 11:1

The promises founded upon faith are in the writings, but not everything is mandated for us not today in the form of material religion, with Jerusalem having had been destroyed which was promised by the Lord Jesus to come to happen, consider his sayings to the Pharisees in that day!

Some may have a question of Matthew what is the Spiritual Age of Fulfillment?

It’s where Jesus has done everything, people who are part of the heavenly kingdom are so by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus said there will be people who say here it is or there it is but not to believe them however the kingdom of God resides within you, by the Holy Spirit/Spirit of Christ. As you build your house on the foundation of Christ you will be rooted in the Lord Jesus Christ, and when you die you will receive your spiritual reward in heaven by God by him giving you a spiritual body which you had built while on earth.

Number 1 having love for God first even above your own family.

Number 2 having love for your neighbor as yourself.

Also in light of the Spiritual age of Fulfillment:

As I stated to my mom earlier, there are people who are unsure of where people go when they die, and I pointed out even her mom who passed away by killing herself.

I told her everyone is resurrected at the end of life believer and non believer, and there is the outside and the inside of the kingdom.

My hope is that those in the kingdom will be able to go out in the name of Christ to help those lost in darkness, and it will give us something to do, I don’t believe we are gonna be coming to a new earth though some do. We will be in the heavenly realm with God and our families that passed before even if we go out to try to help them come to know Jesus!

All conjecture but thank God for liberty found in Christ and it’s hard to sway people from their beliefs in the religious practices in which they have been taught and that is totally fine.

Love you!

We all pray for his return Matt, but I don't think any of us will like what precedes his coming, and few are going to like his actual coming. But I have to agree with the closing words of the Bible, Amen! come Lord Jesus!

When you say all, that wouldn’t include me myself. However you are free to believe how you will, I just don’t see the return feasible anymore due to the context is subjected to only the nation of Israel.

One day we see the return going back to God in death, one could say, as we will be given spiritual bodies by God having being resurrected.

Maybe to you it seems to far out there and that would be understandable, that is why it is important to study the Bible and become rooted at least to the context and read by the Holy Spirit to help one learn, comparing the Old Testament with the Apostlic Record.

God bless you, and take care.

Love you, and it good to know you are still alive and breathing brother!

I know that you have said the Lord's prayer Matt, perhaps you didn't know it but you did ask God to send His Kingdom to earth, so that His will could be done. Think about those words sir, and it is relatively easy to understand. There is a reason why Jesus opened the way for some humans to be given a spiritual resurrection, and the Bible reveals how many are of that covenant sir. Would you like to know why Jesus made a covenant with them for a Kingdom Matt?

Thanks again for your kindness my friend.

Jesus lives in each of us.

One day we too will be changed in the twinkling of the eye
hmm you dont think that maybe this happened to you already? i forget when it was—not when i first “got saved”—maybe like forty years later, but still in hindsight i do remember a day when that passage at least seemed to apply

that are going to manifest whether we ask for them or not? hmm

It was an instructional prayer Byrd, yet each thing had meaning, and Jesus was giving things that are appropriate to pray for. Did you happen to notice that it was given in a descending order of importance?

hmm, you think? the greek tense would reveal that i guess…and wadr idt Jesus was instructing us to pray for anything at all, but rather to affirm, however i am weak in Greek and would want another witness here, although i know how to find out—or at least to get a surer idea—it takes me longer than i have right now. Point being possibly, can you Quote any part of it that is not already promised, maybe

my resistance there is mostly centered around this “asking the Omniscient for things that have already been promised,” which imo is a pagan/Catholic idea that i have never been very comfortable with tbh. “Hey Yah, i know you know everything and all, but i have a better idea right here…”
“oh lord wont you buy me a mercedes benz” essentially, seems to me anyway

i mean dont get me wrong, i sometimes ask Yah for stuff, “pls help me to understand…” whatever, but then i expect to get some pain, via a lesson lol.
What might you pray to God “for,” anyway?

now im maybe being…disingenuous here, as i do make requests sometimes—like, i make a point to make them out loud, even if i am alone, which ppl find amusing (if i thought i was alone or whatever), and one might call those “prayers” i guess

i kinda see why you say that, but then again that is a pretty subjective opinion imo, dunno

Perhaps you would be interested in a Bible study Byrd. If so send me a comment in my inbox and I will give you my contact info. Whatever is on your mind is appropriate to pray for, but keep in mind it should be in line with Jehovah's will: (1 John 5:14) . . .this is the confidence that we have toward him, that no matter what we ask according to his will, he hears us. So knowing Jehovah's will goes a long way in our prayers. It is God's will that you be happy, so petition Him for help in dealing with the pressures that are put upon you by this world. Ask Him for more faith Luke 17:5. It is appropriate to ask for holy spirit Luke 11:13

Hope that helps sir.

hmm i always understood that to be acknowledgement, not asking?
Your kingdom comes, Your will be done
dunno tho tbh
The "earth" being perhaps the little bit of dirt forming me rather than the large globe men name as planet Earth. When does His kingdom come to me? When is His will done in me?
