so you do not believe they lose salvation?

I don’t use that term, because the Bible doesn’t use that term.

The term the Bible uses is lost.

What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:4-7

  • Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

Do the lost need salvation?

  • I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

see what I mean, You always stick your foot in your mouth..

you asked why I accused you of saying they lost salvation.

then immediately after say they lose salvation.

They never had eternal life.

did you not see the verse that said so?

1 John 3: 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.
13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

they are children of the devil, they are of the world. they abide in death

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
1 John 3:15

This scripture refers to one brother hating another brother.

Question:

How can eternal life remain in a person who never had eternal life.

a nice try, But in effect. You claim they were found (saved) now they are lost (lost salvation)

I would not try to deny what you are saying and just own it

My brother is not saved, he never has been saved.

My national brothers. some are saved. some are not saved.

so in context again, your in error.

The same author says whoever hates his brother is a child of satan, not a child of God. and never has been..

so I would stop trying to cherry pick verses

I don't abide in the house across the street, I abide in this house.

I am not abiding in the house across the street. Are you thinking I once did? I did not.

Much love!

Here's a couple of portions of scripture the eternal security peeps must reject and claim is a lie if they are to continue their scamming:

2 Peter 3:14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace,
without spot, and blameless.

Hebrews 3:6-19
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

They will claim this is "works" based salvation hmmx1:

It was obviously implied in post #357. Now in regard to the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15:4-7, in context, we see that Jesus is directing this parable to the Pharisees and scribes who complained, saying that Jesus receives sinners and eats with them, while failing to recognize, because of pride and self-righteousness that they were sinners themselves. The main point of this parable is not that a Christian lost their salvation and had to regain it back again, but the absolute importance of finding the one lost sheep -- there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

In Matthew 5:5, we read - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. In Luke 19:10, we read - for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Not lost his salvation and needs to get saved all over again.
