Jesus was not only God with us, Jesus was also God for us.

I sincerely believe that all that Jesus was, and all that Jesus did was for our justification and our salvation. Jesus was our substitute and our representative. In our name and on our behalf, he offered to God the Father a life of perfect obedience according to his Holy Law. Having fulfilled the law, in our name and on our behalf, he abolished it. "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes" Romans 10:4. The purpose of the law is to Judge and condemn. "There is no condemnation for those that are in Christ" Romans 8:1. There is no condemnation because there is no law. "Because the law works wrath: for where there is no law, there is no sin" Romans 4:15.

To be under the law or subject to it is to be under God's wrath. God is a God of judgment he must and will judge sin wherever he finds it. If you are an unbeliever and you die in your sins, you will experience God's wrath. Many do not have faith in Christ because they believe that he was just a good man and not the Christ. Jesus said to the religious Pharisees, "I said therefore unto you, that you will die in your sins: for if you don't believe that I am he, you will die in your sins" John 8:24. In spite of all of the miracles that Jesus did they could not believe that he was God.

In our name and on our behalf, Jesus atoned for our sins and the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2. If Jesus had not atoned for the sins of the whole world then Jesus would still be in Joseph's new tomb, and we would still be in our sins and without hope. When Jesus died, we died with him, when Jesus was resurrected, we were resurrected with him, Romans 6:5. Spiritually speaking, we are "Dead and our lives are hid with Christ in God" Colossians 3:3. We are complete in him, Colossians 2:10.

When we believe that Jesus is our savior we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13 There is no unsealing. Once sealed always sealed. "There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ" Romans 8:39. Satan wants us to believe that we can lose our salvation. If you believe that you can lose your salvation, then you are a very weak Christian and may not be a Christian at all. Jesus at the right hand of God in heaven is the assurance of our salvation and not our Christian lives.

If you were swimming in the ocean and all of a sudden you got a cramp in your leg and you started to drown, would you want the lifeguard to swim out and rescue you, or would you want him to run up and down on the beach giving you instructions on how to save yourself? This is the difference between religion and Christianity. As soon as Jesus hears your call to be saved, he saves you. He doesn't give you 15 things to do to be saved.
